Dr. Shobha Gupta, MD

I love Dr. Gupta! She’s so nice and caring and an excellent doctor! Highly recommended!

I was in dire need of pyschiatric guidance and I got no significant pysch evaluation - 10 minutes or so. I told her I had taken medication in my 20s but, I wasn't looking for medication. She prescribed the medication anyway. She then told me I needed a physical evaluation from her husband, who is in the same office. He told the receptionist to create a "super bill", which now I know means run a variety of unneeded tests. I told him specifically that I didn't want to be tested for allergies but, he still put me through that. The real surprise is when you get the medical bills - thousands of dollars and there was nothing significant wrong with me physically. In the end, my pyschiatric wants and needs were not taken seriously or addressed in any manner except prescriptions. The wait time was unacceptable. The system has failed by allowing this type of MD in a BCBS health plan. There should be a screening of sorts so, patients can get the care they need from doctors they can… trust.

Was in there for 3 min and she told me i am bi-polar then wrote me like 8 prescriptions

the whole visit lasts about 5 minutes. you tell her what prescriptions you want and that's what you get.

Not only did this doctor not listen to me when it came to my previous medications/doctors perscriptions, she also perscribed me an antipsychotic that made me extremely tired and unable to function at work. When I called the office to follow up with her about the side effects of this medication, she did not return my call. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone!

I am honestly shocked that this person successfully made it through he stuff requirements in the united states to become a practicing physician. It's made me lose faith in our system. I visited dr Gupta in the spring of 2011 and literally within two minutes of walking into my office, she began filling out prescriptions and shuffling me out of her office. I have no idea how she keeps her practice afloat as she's certainly not treating any of her patients. Everyone in this office is focused on extracting money from the patients, which is really sad given that people are coming to her for help with their medical problems. It actually strikes me as borderline unethical. Anyway, I would stay away from this physician. Plenty of average doctors in Florida which would be much higher qual

Dr. Gupta couldn't have shown less interest in understanding me. She treated me like a low-life.

Prescribes completely unnecessary meds, over medicates. Very short, personality of a robot. Rushes and shows zero concern or care. She will cause you to need a real psychiatrist.

Dr. Gupta did not explain my diagnosis, her prescriptions, or any side effects. She was snippy, patronizing, and dismissive. I tried to explain a couple of things and she absolutely refused to listen, preferring to rush me. I cannot fathom what she thinks psychiatry is. Don't waste your time with her.
