My daughter was seen by this pompous Dr who belittled her entire visit about her wanting to have a child. Was extremely sarcastic to her and didn’t do a thing to even attempt to help her.

I was very impressed with Dr. Rowan and his staff. Each and every one of them treat you as a guest in their home; a long time personal friend. Dr. Rowan performed a DaVinci hysterectomy on me. It was a great experience. I was came home the same day with minimal discomfort which was gone by day 2. Recovery was so easy. I didn’t even feel like I had surgery. You won’t find a better ob-gyn!

I have 3 daughters, a neice & a sister with endometriosis. All of whom are patients at this clinic & have been for yrs under the care of dr gary horowitz. My oldest daughter is a stage 4 endometriosis. 2 of my 3 daughters were scheduled to see dr rowan to go over their charts as he inherited their cases without studying their charts first. Of course not knowing anything about their cases did not stop him from examining my oldest daughter in dec affer an endo episode made her pass out at work from heavy bleeding & severe pain. Subsequently leading to a trip to the ED. But dr rowan & karen proclaimed that it did prevent him from carrying on treatment as usual or as we had known it previously with dr horowitz. The ED instructed her to follow up with her regular ob/gyn hence the reason given for the dec apt to the clinic. However their alleged notes indicated that she was only there for bleeding as if it were just a routine visit. When we tried to clear up this misconception we were spoken… over & it was implied that they were not mistaken of the incident, but we infact were. The entire meeting seemed more like a campaign to prove the clinics innocence rather than to come up with a new treatment plan. In dr horowitzs absence, she was scheduled with dr rowan. I can not say enough of dr horowitzs' credentials, bed side manner & just overall concern for the best interest of his patients. He really is a phenominal knowledgable physician & greatly missed. However, recently, the clinics standards of concern for their patients has declined drastically. After this apt with dr shon rowan & karen merryman, myself & 2 of my daughters i am not only disappointed but shocked at their behaviors & lack of respect or any empathy whatsoever for the women they are treating. Ms merryman even going so far as to say to my oldest daughter "and you will remove the review you put on google... right?" When my daughter had clearly & fairly voiced through these reviews her recent experiences with dr rowan & this clinic. We felt as if they were the "Godfather" & were sent in to "handle" us. Despite the fact that both daughters were upset to the point of tears because of the tones the entire staff was using towards us, & the implications by them that they were right & we were somehow wrong about every thing. karen & dr rowan were more concerned with why were we mad at him directly & in a more commanding than asking tone... we would remove the negative review. Dr rowan asked several times & stated that clearly we were "mad" at him, but then upon trying to answer & explain our frustrations, we would be talked over or in my case simply ignored & blatenly disregarded or point blankly told to stop talking or we would be asked to leave. (If you do not want to hear the answer dr rowan, then dont bother asking. If your going to ignore the answer dont waste my time. While its true im no doctor... My time is also valuable.) Had the 2 of them allowed us to speak we would have explained that we were not mad at anyone. Dogs go mad, people get angry. we were infact angry with the situation of not being able to communicate easily with the 2 of them as we had in the past with dr horowitz. Everything we told them they would jump to their recent notes in a defensive effort to contradict the events as we knew them. The surprising thing is.. there was never any contradiction with dr horowitz notes & events or as we remembered them. To be fair though i suppose miscommunication is more likely to happen when your being given the run around & sent to numerous other facilities for treatment of which you initially came to them for. Since dr horowitz absence, my daughter has been sent to a vaginal massage therapist, and a pain clinic, & a psychiatrist to be treated for what we were initially going to the clinic to be treated for. She is no longer in remission as she was under dr horowitzs care. My daughter has tried every crazy procedure they have thrown at her. And to be treated by karen, whos job is obviously damage control and an arrogant immature doctor crying "dont be mad at me, why are you mad at me, if your going to continue to be made at me ill have to make you leave'... is heartbreaking!!! No concern from either of them for the pain & suffering she has endured through this whole ordeal. As well as no concern for my15 yr old daughter who was forced to endure this mtg only because we were 15 mins late for their back to back apts with dr rowan and they forced us to reschedule her instead of seeing both girls together as dr horowitz had done in the past. Let me add, we were late because the massage therapist apt had over run our schedule by a few mins & was initially and inadvertantly sent there to begin with because of dr rowan. Only finger pointing & defense exhibited rather than solutions being discussed. Dr rowan & karen concluded that my daughter was not a patient of dr rowans, (even though he had examined her previously) but as i noted to them... she is an established patient of the clinic. Therefore in our minds treatment should have continued as it had in previous years with dr horowitz. This was not the case. Infact dr rowan did not see to it that she was weened correctly off of medications that she should have been weened off of. Infact he refused any assistance in the matter whatsoever. He made the focus about him legally not being able to give her medicine when we had made it clear we were not asking for medicine but rather upset that he did not ween her off medicines in a way that was in her best interest. Stating that sometimes the body needs to reset and then later denying he said or did most of what he did say and do at that said apt. He went so far as to throw the recent legislation senate bill 273 at us as if we were too ignorant to know the terms of which it was passed, as the reason his hands were tied. However under the legi

Wonderful Doctor and has a good knowledge about infertility. Highly recommend!

saved my life

I first seen Dr Rowan 2 1/2 years ago for infertility issues. He thoroughly went through my medical history with me and reviewed laboratory and ultrasound data i had brought with me. I had an abnormal ultrasound and he ask to perform another one because he wanted to know what it meant. The fact that he found issues that were missed by other doctors and listened to me meant so much. I had been having problems for years and seen numerous doctors and he was the only one who found the problem.

Dr. Rowan shared our struggle with infertility for over two years. I say share as his disappointment was evident when things didn't work out for us and you could tell that he put much thought into what should be our next step to become pregnant. After several years and exhausting most options, we were finally able to conceive via IVF under his care. When we unexpectedly became pregnant with our second child, we again enjoyed having him as our OB. There were a few complications early on and we could again feel his personal concern. He performed our scheduled C-section and rearranged his schedule to make sure he was the one to perform the operation. He has always come across as a friend that has shown true concern for us and our babies and has answered every email, text and phone call punctually.

The office staff has poor communication. They failed to schedule my surgery. The Dr. did not return an emergency phone call. The attendant forged the Drs. signature. And, they were unprepared for my second appointment. When meeting with Dr. Rowan, he did not once look up from his laptop while I spoke with him.

Dr Rowan had terrible bedside manner. He is a fertility doctor. People go to him when they are in the fragile states of infertility. He did not smile at me one time, he told me to lose weight then I could get pregnant, not even paying attention to the fact that I weighed less then he recommended I go down to when I started trying to conceive 3 years ago. Being smaller didn't help then. Very frustrated with the visit.
