Dr. Shonali Saha, MD

Condescending and ineffective, both with patients and other healthcare professionals.

I have been seeing Dr. Saha for about a year and a half now to receive treatment with Suboxone. Everytime I come into the office her assistant Shameka greets me with a smile and asks me how I'm doing and has me fill out my assessment and the MA Kadesia who's name I hope I'm spelling correctly comes to get me for my drug test. Then Dr. Saha comes out to get me and brings me back for my appointment. I usually don't ever have to wait more than 15 minutes in the waiting area which is amazing! Once I go back Dr. Saha always spends a decedent amount of time with me and always comes up with the best treatment plan possible. For anybody looking for an addictionologist in the GA area I would recommend Dr. Saha!

Worst experience and demeanor I’ve ever had with or seen of a provider of any kind—much less a behavioral health professional ironically. Questionable and shady office policies and practices—and beware if you have any valid questions regarding billing or mis-information provides by staff (there is no billing department that I could find her one-person staff doesn’t understand the basics of how insurance works and doesn’t return phone calls), you will be met with a lack of response and then the highly unprofessional, aggressive demeanor of Dr Saha herself who doesn’t care about your experience as her patient nor will let you get a word-in edgewise. When questioned lab fees was told “just don’t pay the bill, we use a lab that doesn’t report to you the credit bureaus”—-huh? Super shady and unprofessional—so much so my insurance company is investigating...read the other reviews on this site and health grades and you’ll see a pattern of lack of professionalism, listening skills and… empathy; wish I had read them ahead of time and saved myself the time, money and energy of visiting this office. Another sign of lack of empathy? Charging clients $50 extra for being 10 minutes late (no matter the reason—even your first appt if hard to find, traffic, etc.) yet she can keep you waiting or cut appts short if she sees fit...unheard of!

Always gets the same text book response

For many years I have searched for an MD who was willing and able to treat my alcohol use disorder comprehensively as a medical problem, and I was finally successful when I started seeing Dr. Saha. She has truly been a godsend for me.

Terrible place, first time there, the directions were wrong and I called to let them know I was going to be late, I was ten minutes late, they charged me 50.00. I had to go back because the doctor, Saha, prescribes a specialty medicine, which is important to the quality of life of the patient. I expressed that I need this to be processed quickly. After four days, I tried calling the pharmacy where my insurance and her prescription was to be sent and they had no information. I then wrote their website a very informative letter with no response and now their office won't call me back and I am leaving town for three weeks. This shows the empathy, effort, and professionalism of this practice. They have no concern or care for their patients, with out this drug their is a possibility of death.

I saw Dr. Saha for about 2 years while she was up in MA. During that time she was attentive, caring, and clearly concerned over my well being. She cultivated a relationship with me as her patient and would promptly follow-up about prescriptions or test results by calling my cell phone within a few days after my initial appointment. While she was bright and knew her stuff, she would also bring in articles around what I was experiencing, again demonstrating her concern as well as her focus on my health and wanting me to receive the best treatment. Honestly, I trusted her and was sad to lose her as my primary care physician.
