Dr. Shrikanth Py Upadya, MD

I chose Dr. Upadya after doing my due diligence about 7 years ago. I have an active lifestyle in The Villages and trust him with his comments and his plan to keep my heart healthy. I ask questions and he answers them to my satisfaction. I am keeping him as my cardiologist.

Dr. upadya is the best.

I first saw Dr. Upadya in 2015. At that time both my legs were 30 % larger from the knees to my toes. I suffered tremendous pain in both legs, and cramping in my legs,hips, and thighs. Over the next two years, Dr. Upadya and his staff at his office and Cath Lab gave my vein system in my legs and my Iliac system a work over. I can not say enough about his staff. These procedures scared me. They literally held my hand through more than one procedure. Two years and five(5) Stents later, I finally thanked Dr. Upadya for giving me a new pair of legs. He looked at me with that silly grin and said, "you're welcome". Dr. Upadya is a wonderful doctor.

It is extremely difficult to find a great Cardiologist like Dr Upadya. There are many doctors to choose from, but very few have the skill and experience needed for the delicate and serious procedures performed with Cardiac and Vascular interventions. The professional staff at both Ins office and Cath lab are wonderful caring and kind people.I am so grateful for all he and his staff have done for me. In the Bay Area of California are some of the best Doctors in the world. I had very well known Cardiologists who provided me with life saving care. I had much concern when relocating to the villages about finding a Cardiologist with their skill levels. Fortunately I was told of Dr Upadya,and would only be comfortable in his hands for any future needs. We are blessed to have this awesome Doctor in the Villages, Florida.

Dr. Upadya and his staff are at the top of their field. Dr. U himself is extremely professional, listens to you, is always friendly and truly reflects an honest and caring attitude. None better for my family.

After moving from South Florida and having the same Dr. for 25 years, it was a blessing to find Dr. Upadya. I have been seeing him for about 5 years. Last year while doing my annual stress test, I failed it. He immediately explained to me that I needed further testing and arranged it to happen within 2 days. I had major blockage and needed cardiac bypass surgery. The surgery was arranged, done in a few days and I am now a new man! I am grateful to Dr. Upadya and his staff for all of their care. He is THE BEST at what he does and is a pleasure to deal with. My wife and I enjoy his sense of humor as well !

Dr. Upadya is by far the only doctor I will have for the procedures I need. He is given me the treatment I need and has set my up for a long happy, and healthy life. Having to put stents in both kidneys and my Right leg has helped me go from use of a cane to no cane due to the pain level I had from the blockages. I cannot imagine anyone not giving him excellent reviews. Talk to him and you will see he is a man who is great at what he does. Write down your questions and ask him. Don't rely on your memory no matter how good you think it is.

Yesterday was my last appointment with Dr. Upadya since we're moving over two hours away. I'm very distressed with the amount of time he spent with me - all of about two minutes, especially considering that I have cardiomyopathy and a pacemaker (he didn't even listen to my heart and lungs). Am wondering if the doctor's time with me has to do with him seeing a note in my chart about the move. The PA did all the work, reviewing my history, asking pertinent questions, and giving advice. Regardless of us moving, the doctor still needed to be more professional and given me the appropriate time. Never know. He may have heard something.
