Wish I could give a zero. Does not respond to calls, pages, or messages of any kind even when the patient is hospitalized. When I showed up in person without an appt to get a response and pointed that out - he fired us. If you are looking for a doctor with a God complex - he's your guy!

This person does not deserve to have a license of the doctor(M.D). He has a lack of empathy and work ethic. Additionally he is a liar that use his job title and make patients life miserable. I would never recommend to have him as your doctor. He thinks that he is a boss at the hospital but in real life he is doing nothing to help people who really need some support. He just make you pay a lot of money for being hospitalized and keep you at the hospital without any reason, he is a big schemer. Attention to upper management, please consider that this person is not qualifying to be a psychiatrist since he misdiagnosed the patient and it was proven by other certified medical doctor.

Our son is presently treated by Dr. Whadyal and has been his patient for the past few years. In those years we have found Dr. Whadyal to be very understanding, compassionate & genuine in his interaction/concern with our son. My husband & I appreciate that he is firm but very fair with our son. Dr. Whadyal does not make his office as a place our child dreads going but makes it a safe place where he can speak & get help. Dr. Whadyal also works closely with our son's therapist therefore our son benefits by getting the best treatment possible. He also communicates openly with us and seeks our feedback on our son's progress since the last visit. There is a true partnership with the family & medical team with one common goal; making our son successful. But truly the most important thing to us as a parents is that Dr. Whadyal truly listens to our son; his concerns, his positives, his negatives & even his random factoids. We would highly recommend Dr. Whadyal to anyone who wants the best for… their child!

Dr. Wadyal has many bad reviews on places like Healthgrades as pill pusher and extends stay for insurance profit - is short with children and tells them of legal action against their parents for refusing medication. He is also very short with the children patients repeatedly and in manipulative ways asking them if they want to leave.

This arrogant selfish jerk insulted me and literally threatened my son. Telling my son to not speak because he has control and he can keep him in the hospital as long as he sees fit. There was actually nothing wrong with my son. He said something stupid but is young! I would never recommend this person to be helping children! I will not take this and will be reporting this to anyone who will listen!

This doctor is arrogant and dismissive. He disregarded my child's full medical history and put my child's overall health at risk. His communication skills are absent. I had to go to the program director to demand that he speak to me and tell me about my child's treatment. And he treated my child like a case, not a person. Still picking up the pieces of the damage he did.

He told my daughter nothing was wrong with her and she wasn't depressed even though she'd been expressing her anxiety and depression was at an unmanageable level for 6 months. He told her to just keep taking her medicine even though she said it wasn't helping her at all. She tried to take her life the next day because she felt no one was listening to her. He treated her at Alexian Behavioral Health and never consulted me, as the parent, on her prognosis, diagnosis, or treatment plan. He would ask my 15-year-old daughter if "your mom would be ok with this?" but never attempted contacting me first before changing her meds or dosage. I've left numerous phone calls for him and he's never called me back. I would never send my child to him. It's dangerous.
