Dr. Shurong Chang, MD

She wants the money instead of caring for the patient. I have mentioned PCOS in the first visit and she made me go through all the lab works and mentioned in my 2nd visit that I have symptoms of PCOS!!! She didn't do anything for me based on my situation and even after mentioning that that she couldn't help me so she shouldn't be charging me for advance office visit, she didn't change the code and charged me for advance office visit. I would recommend to NOT go to her.

I was referred to doctor Chang and from day one she was pushing for a long and ineffective procedure versus a more effective, shorter, and cheaper procedure. I went along with her plan even, though it was obvious to me from my past experience and the research I have done that the shorter and more effective procedure was the way to go. Her recommended procedure took around 5 sessions and each time I had to wait between 30 to 90 minutes? for my appointment. I was never seen on time. It finally hit me, she recommended the long and ineffective procedure to run the insurance bill. Today I told her that it seems the procedure she picked was not working and she said we can switch the other procedure after wasting almost 8 months! When I confronted her about her trying to bill the insurance as much as possible she got very defensive and aggressive and called me “irresponsible” and left the room in the middle of the treatment. I had to go find a nurse to patch me up. When I complained to… the center they said she’s the owner and they can’t do anything! I’m in the process of filling a complaint? with the BBB and trying to find how to log a complaint?? with the Medical Board of California. I highly recommend staying away from this center and this doctor.

I’ve been seeing Dr Chang for a few years. She is very knowledgeable and personable. Great experience.
