He helps you reduce the amount of your medication and is a good Doctor only wish I had him as my primary care doctor. I have been going to him for awhile and he’s been great and does not overcharge for his services! I would recommend him to anyone !

This is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever been to. I was his patient for addiction medicine for almost a year. At first, he seemed to be on my side about recovery, but the last three appointments, he constantly suggested that I find another doctor. He is quite different than other addiction medication providers. He has no compassionate bedside manner, he likes to act like your counselor and makes rude suggestions regarding your personal life, and I believe he has something against women. I say that because every time I would be alone at my appointments, he would make rude comments and outrageous suggestions regarding the custody of my children. He went as far as to say that I should be content with the love of just my daughter if I cannot get full custody of my son. None of that was his business to discuss. I was there strictly for medication assistance, as he makes it known on his website and your paperwork that he is not a counselor and he requires you to have one for… recovery discussions. Whenever I brought my husband, things would always run smoothly during the appointments. In addition, the events that led up to me finding another doctor goes as follows. He is gone for 5 weeks every three months, so he is supposed to make sure you have an adequate supply of medication until your next appointment. I contacted him when I realized I would run out 5 days before my appointment. He told me he would check his records and get back to me. Let’s go back two appointments ago when I discussed with him that I felt like I was tapered too early and he belittled me for even saying that and refused to go back to my previous dose. That was fine with me, as it was only a suggestion. His prescription read “Take one tablet/film once daily. Do not take more than one and a half tablets/film a day.” He also puts an exemption to where you can get your prescription filled up to a week before the fill date. Mostly, pharmacies do not honor this as I am a Registered Nurse, and I know my way around the medical field. However, my pharmacy knows me and honored that exemption that he only uses for “charting purposes.” He claimed I should have been ahead, but we discussed how when I was tapering that some days I needed to take one and a half instead of one AS WRITTEN ON THE PRESCRIPTION. He records all appointments, so there is no discrepancy in this review. He told me that I didn’t have to continue to keep medication records, but I did anyway just for my own records and I was on track with one per day after he was rude and belittling two appointments ago. However, I told him I was not ahead and if he was going to be gone for 5 weeks, I would be out of medication for 5 days. I would be ahead if he was gone the usual 4 weeks. After making him aware of his error, he told me to find a new doctor as we must have had a “misunderstanding”. He told me that I confirmed to taking one per day and it would be best if I found a new provider. I reminded him that was not true because of our face to face discussion and the appointment recording two appointments ago where I simply suggested that maybe we were tapering too soon. Obviously, his recordings don’t matter as well as the exemption per his prescriptions. If you want a doctor with no compassion, no bedside manner, or belittles you as a person, then Dr. Jha is perfect for you. The only good thing about his clinic are his affordable prices due to the fact that he doesn’t deal with insurance networks. However, if you are a woman, make sure you have your husband with you because comes across as cruel when you come alone. Or maybe he just didn’t like the fact that I had medical knowledge, and most of the things he says are based on his opinion rather than documented medical facts. Honestly, I believe he is burnt out from Medication Assisted Treatment. I can recognize a medical provider that’s burnt out or tired of treating compliant patients. I’m sure he will respond to this review with only information that has nothing to do with what I’ve discussed here, only private, personal medical information.

This Dr is very good..He not only very thouroghly explained in great detail all about my su oxone treatment he also gave me a very detailed physical examination, He was very polite to me and my wife.He even suggested to my wife that she control and dispense my suboxone to me to better help me control it. A good smart Dr who cares will recomend him to anyone who wants to get better.

When I first visited Dr. J I was addicted to pain pills and had been for 6-7 years. I was so sick of taking pills to keep me motivated and I was lost and felt like I had nowhere to turn. Dr.J was not only concerned about my addiction, he seemed to be also concerned with my health and asked me to see the doctor next door to his office about my blood pressure. He started me on 2 suboxone strips a day and within a year I no longer needed them and had almost zero withdrawals from the pain pills that I was abusing. He is strict, he’s not there to coddle you. He will make sure that you are sincere about quitting your addiction and will help by prescribing suboxone and then slowly bring you off the suboxone. Yes he wants you to seek counseling but that’s a good thing. Talking to others that are going through the same thing you are daily is a big help. I have seen some bad reviews here and don’t understand, he’s very upfront about what he expects from you verbally and on paper the very first… visit. He’s not your friend and he definitely won’t shake your hand lol( believe me I tried a few times) he’s there to help you on the journey of getting your life back in order. Stick to the program without getting your feelings involved and you will have your life back in a year or less.

BEYOND awful doctor....WORST bedside manner and doesn't really care about "his patients". He talks down to you all the time and makes you feel like scum because you are an addict, even though you're there at HIS clinic to SEEK HELP!! He doesn't care at all about helping people and I GUARANTEE you he's in this Suboxone Treatment Program to attempt to write a book on addiction or something is requiring him to do this to obtain a certain license of his haha! This dude is by far the rudest "Doctor" I've EVER met...

I wish I could rate him one star. He seems to boast about having a "no-nonsense, no frills" service when in reality he is confused because he's extremely disrespectful and runs his practice for the wrong reasons. You can be harsh without being mean. I think working with addicts has made him jaded and he should switch to a different field because yes we are addicts but we are also human beings with FEELINGS. Addiction already has a stigma that surrounds it and this guy is a prime example which is awful because he is a doctor that is supposed to be helping us with our problems not judging us. My phone interview with him was awkward. He was difficult to understand and when I told him that I was currently on subutex but wouldn't care if he gave me suboxone he immediately became confrontational and accusatory. It just didn't make sense because I don't him I DONT CARE IF YOU PRESCRIBE ME SUBOXONE INSTEAD OF SUBUTEX! I DON'T CARE! As soon as I said the word "subutex" be came angry.… What? Apparently he has had issues with that situation but that is a personal problem. I'm sorry if he's had people scam him for subutex in the past but I straight up told him that I didn't care about being taken off subutex and being put on suboxone because I was using my medication to stay sober which is the whole reason I got put on it. I felt unfairly judged and shocked that this was the man that was supposed to help me?!? Anytime I met with him I always felt like he was looking down on me. He seemed to care more about the payment than he did about how I was doing. He even states on his website that "coming to my clinic looking like a drug addict" will get you kicked out of the program. It's so strange to me that a doctor would even say something like that on their website. If you are looking for help I recommend BHG in Columbia. Counseling is included in their fees and they are all great and PROFESSIONAL! If you DO decide to go see this man just say you haven't been warned...He even states himself that he provides one star service.

This 'man of medicine' is the most unprofessional, disrespectful, rude and uncaring doctor Ive ever met, After taking hundreds of your dollars b/c he doesnt want to be hassled w/ insurance, he could care less about you or your treatment or health or your family. Its just so sad that he's continuously allowed to treat people like they are poor, loser junkies instead of human beings they way doctors are sworn to.

He is a great doctor, he is a non sense doctor which i like. If u are there for the right reason he is the best doctor to see. Love him and all the help he has done for me...

Is not cooperative with insurance. So does not care about patients.
