Dr. Shylaja Prabhakar, MD

I'm going to see if I can change Doctors. This doctor mind is somewhere else, and not focused on helping her patients. She acts like she is scared, or too good to examine her patients, and she has a very negative attitude. She doesn't like to refill meds. I would not recommend her to anyone, unless she changes her stubborn attitude.

She doesn't follow up with patients. She also has issues with prescriptions. Both myself and my friend (who refered me) are going to be looking for a new doctor as Dr. Prabhkar doesn't like to work with your insurance company when needing medications that need Dr. approval through the insurance. She also is hard to get to refill meds... you have to go back to her office to get a prescription, she will not call it in and the pharmacist has no way to fax info to her office. It has been very frustrating. I would think it wasn't as big of a problem as it is, except that there are two of us having the same issue with Dr. Prabhkar.
