Dr. Sian Sarissa Chisholm, MD

My primary doctor sent me for an evaluation to Dr. Chisholm because I was having a worsening of symptoms. This is not the first time I've seen someone from BG but my doctor specifically wanted me to see Dr. Chisholm because she is supposedly good in managing IBS. The first doctor I saw at BG was a jerk and didn't want to help and, little did I know, they share offices (he must have moved). From the first moment I met Dr. Chisholm, it was clear that she did not want to help me at all. She was very abrasive and said that all the tests that were done 2 years ago came out clear even though my symptoms have worsened since then and I've had food poisoning and rectal bleeding. She gave me a script for a med that was just released and I warned her that I have an HMO and it would not be covered. It was not. When I called to let them know, another med was called in that requires a prior authorization. It has been over a month and I STILL have not been able to get the medication because… they have not submitted the right paperwork. I just cancelled the follow-up appointment and my primary care doctor agreed to send me elsewhere. I do not recommend Dr. Chisholm, especially if you've already seen someone at BG. She will most likely dismiss your symptoms.

She is the sweetest and most informative physician I have met in a long while. I felt extremely comfortable and felt I could ask her just about anything. I was nervous with a pending procedure but she helped take my fear away.....great job Dr. Chisholm....your the best!!!
