Where do I begin...??? The final straw was that Dr. Acharya scheduled the exact same procedure that he could not do successfully a second time a few months later. Why? Anxious to get this done I called back a few weeks later rather irate asking WHEN is the procedure going to take place. The woman I spoke to said that Dr. Acharya would not be the doctor doing the procedure. “He doesn’t do the procedures” yet he was unavailable that day for her to find out because “he was at the hospital doing procedures.” I kid you not! A woman called me back with a date. I told her that wouldn’t work for me. She said, “Well you’re the one that called here all upset about getting this done!” I replied, “So you give me one date & it’s ‘take it or leave it?’” She said she would call the hospital & see about another date. Went through with the date, anesthesia etc. only to find out the same results from 3 months prior. The procedure could not be completed because of the blockages in my… legs. You want to use him? Have at it. I’m done!! They’re closed 2 hours for lunch. They scheduled a ‘follow up’ appointment for a procedure that hadn’t even taken place yet. I explained that was not going to happen until the procedure had taken place. She said she would call me back. Didn’t.

I was told by SID when he came to see me at Bay Area Regional Hospital, to go and see one of my own people as a doctor !!! My condition is so bad that I am applying for SSI and did not have a choice but to stay over night as I was told , my condition is not good !!!!!

This doctor has absolutely no bedside manner. He is not professional, taking 3 other calls on his cell phone and discussing their health issues while in the room with me. He will not speak to you like a human being, but rather slams his computer shut and storms out of the room if you ask questions. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to him!!

Dr Acharya personally called me one evening (late) to go over a study he was recommending that I join. He does offer an alternative therapy technique (ECP). He always has a great disposition. He has my confidence.

My father was recently in the hospital with heart problems. Dr. Acharya ordered a stress the hospital then made the mistake of letting my father eat. So the test had to wait for the next day. My father waited over an hour hooked up and ready for the test. The tech called the doctor three times even telling us that the doctor should have been there by now. My father a diabetic who had not eaten in over 12 hours left the hospital AMA due to the doctor not showing up in a timely manner for the test he ordered.

The staff at the front desk is very rude and I had my appointment reset for later in the day and had to wait another hour before I was seen. I had a 30 day heart moniter test done and was only told I was fine and nothing was wrong with me. Nothing was shown to me or explianed to me. When I told him I had new symptoms I was experiencing he only told me I was fine and dismissed what I was telling him. Going to a heart specialists is a big deal and If you want a heart specialists to explain everything to you in detail and to call you back when you have questions, I would not advise going Dr.Acharya. He makes you feel like he knows everything and you dont know what you are taliking about. I will NOT be going back again!!!

BOTH LADIES AT THE DESKS ARE VERY RUDE AND UNCARING, ONLY THEM TWO ONE SIT AT THE FRONT AND THE OTHER ONE AS SOON AS U ENTRY THE DOOR ( BACK ) DESK. I REALLY DONT THINK HE IS AWARE OF IT, BUT NEED TO ASK HIS PATIENTS ABOUT THEM,,TWO.

Dr. Acharya is an excellent Dr. he saved my mother's life! He has always been very respectful, courteous, kind, caring, and accurate. Dr. Acharya does not leave his patients in question, he always gives thorough answers, explanations,and is courteous enough to explain to family members in terms that they can understand. He doesn't talk down to his patients or family members. His bed side manners are impecable in a he stays with his patients until they are comfortable. Most importantly he always follows through with his patients utnil they are well.
