Dr. Sidney Cohen, MD

When no one could diagnose me or help me this Doctor did. He has gone out of his way to help even though I required special treatment that is not the norm. He found a way to help me when others could not. I will forever be grateful. He also referred me to another doctor when he needed to.

Beware of this doctor!

This doctor maimed me for life , he just does one thing dilatation and he can't even do that alone , brings a big guy in to do the work. This doctor did not listen to my symptoms , diagnosed me wrong. He is old and should retire.. If you care for you health do not do the same mistake I did, do not go to this doctor

dr cohen is a charlatan. He is knife happy and his practice is a factory. he scared me and my family into thinking I HAD to remove my gallbladder immediately even I did not fit the classic profile for gallbladder disease. Did I say disease? oh yes, the ultrasound showed no disease, but he scared me into thinking there was no alternative. he is closed minded to anything other than surgery and drugs with little regard to the patient as a an individual and the personal effects that can occur. do NOT be fooled that one's body can function properly without a gallbladder if it wasn't diseased in the first place. I did not fit the profile which he even said shaking his head, lets see, because i don't drink alcohol,smoke and have an excellent diet and oh yes in great shape being a professional dancer. I am only writing this because it is now 10 years since the surgery and i am still trying to figure out what I can eat or not . This has been life altering in both a physical and emotional… way,especially by bringing my career to a halt. Always get a second and third opinion and don't let reputation fool you .It is time for dr cohen to retire.PS. about his follow up there was none. All i got was an intern visit with a picture of my removed gallbladder and a comment from the intern on how few stones there were and how otherwise it looked healthy.

Dr Cohen was caring and very thorough. He is at the top of his field. My college age daughter had a new diagnosis of Crohn's and the office made a very quick appointment so that she didn't need to miss school. Dr Cohen took the time to explain the disease to us and was very empathetic. He offered to work with another Dr closer to her college town so that she could receive full time care. The only issue is that Jeff is so busy that the waiting time can be long and you have to pay for parking. However, Dr. Cohen is worth every minute and penny!

This guy is a God!
