Dr. Eisig is Chief of the Hospital Dental Service at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the George Guttmann Professor of Clinical Craniofacial Surgery and Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the hospital, and Chair of Hospital Dentistry at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine.
He received his dental degree from New York University and then completed his general dental internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, and New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center, respectively. Dr. Eisig received additional training as the maxillofacial surgery fellow at Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Hospital.
Dr. Eisig is the Section Editor for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Journal and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He volunteers abroad by treating patients with cleft lip and palate on Healing the Children missions to South American countries. …He practices full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a particular interest in orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), craniofacial and cleft palate surgery, maxillofacial pathology and reconstruction and implant surgery, and pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Eisig's principal research interests are in stem cell cranofacial regeneration and he has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and book chapters.

I’m only giving three stars, because some of the staff is so rude that they should be fired! I’m probably going to complain either to the doctor or the HR department. The front desk receptionist is probably the rudest I ever encountered.

I’ve had to have surgery twice with dr eisig he is the best thank you dr eisig for being the best dr ever

Great Experience, highly recommend Dr. Eisig. He did a phenomenal job. I am a month removed from surgery and almost have all facial mobility and all my teeth touch. I was not an easy case and he worked wonders. Along with his great residents at Columbia Doctors. Wouldn't want anyone else to work on my jaw. I know their are negative comments out there. But let me tell you their is a reason he works and does so many of these. He s fantastic, and really fixed issues i've had with my jaw

There are few people who I can identify in my life who have had a bigger impact on me more than Dr. Eisig. I saw him for over a decade, between my yearly appointments as I was growing up (we knew I would have to have surgery after puberty), to my two surgeries over consecutive years. I was shy and self-conscience before my surgeries, and I and my family know that without Dr. Eisig and what he did for me, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I can never thank him enough.

I had jaw surgery with Dr. Eisig about 2 months ago. I was worried because of some negative review I read about him. My experience was awesome. I had minimal discomfort from the procedure, really enjoyable stay at the hospital. ( newly renovated post op. floor at Columbia Presbyterian). The after care was good and I am very happy with functional and cosmetic results from the procedure. Dr. Eisig is the best!
