Dr. Siegfried William Baduya Yu, MD

I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Yu. He seems to be a truly caring doctor who took time to answer my questions. It was very touching how he prays with his patients before their procedure. I’ve had several colonoscopies before and this one was a “piece of cake” as opposed to my previous ones! I highly recommend Dr. Yu.

I was admitted to St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois with internal bleeding. It was decided that to determine the cause of the bleeding, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy should be done. Dr.Yu was engaged to do both procedures. Before the procedures were done, Dr. Yu explained to me the details of the procedures, possible good or less-than-good outcomes and post-procedural care, both within the hospital and after discharge. Immediately before the procedures were done, he talked with me to determine my condition, and afterwards, to make sure I had tolerated everything well. I have a follow-up appointment with him. I can recommend Dr. Yu without reservation. Among other details is the fact that Dr. Yu includes prayers in the care of his patients.
