​Sierra Kind, cardiology nurse practitioner, entered the field of medicine because of the unique opportunity it offered. Health care allowed her to help others through communication and commitment.
“I am also passionate about providing education to patients so they fully understand the importance of their health," she said.
The cardiovascular system was of great interest to her and she began working in the specialty while studying for her graduate degree.
“Having experience in the specialty prior to graduating gave me great confidence to continue to pursue the specialty," Kind said. “I also knew I wanted to work in a specialty that worked primarily with the geriatric population because I truly enjoy working with that age group."
Kind sees patients with heart failure, high blood pressure, valve disease, arrhythmias, angina, heart attacks, syncope and more.
As a provider in a rural community, she strives to treat every patient like they are family or a friend.
“I …want to treat all of my patients with the same dedication, time and commitment I would invest on those closest to me. I put the best health interests of my patients first," she said.
Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family doing outdoor activities, like camping. She and her significant other live in Marathon, Wisconsin and raise their two fur babies, male and female huskies. ​
