Doesn't listen to the patient. I don't suggest her to any one.

Horrible Dr, doesn't listen, just concerned with being right, not caring for her patients. Misdiagnosed me, refused to refer me (and several other patients that I know), delayed me in getting a diagnosis/treatment for 1 1/2 years. I found a new caring dr that listens, she referred me immediately to Univ of Chicago and I have finally been diagnosed and I am getting the correct treatment - not just her guessing and always prescribing prednisone because she doesn't know whats wrong. She also would walk out of my room in the middle of my appointment when she didn't know what to do or say and walk immediately into the room next to mine to see another patient. She always entered wrong info in my chart because she does not document concurrently. Never ordered the tests she said she would in the apt and I would have to contact the office for weeks to get the test ordered - I always felt like I was working way harder than her and her staff. Even Dr's at Univ of Chicago said she obviously… was telling me things in my appointments hoping to get rid of me -needs to find something else to do that doesn't deal with people.

She doesn’t care about her patients or their issues. She doesn’t listen and only cares about being right not helping her patients.

I am 70 years old, have lived in 6 countries, and though I find the medical system in the USA compares poorly with several others, I have never had a better primary care physician than Dr Sigita Alimenti. Dr Alimenti is the 4th PCP I have had in the USA in my various stays here, and I have now attended her clinic for about 10 years. In contrast to what some other reviewers have written, I have found that Dr Alimenti takes time to listen, makes sure she is attuned to issues of both physical and emotional health, remembers the gist of conversations from previous visits, communicates clearly, and shows a genuine concern for one as a person. One reviewer suggests that Dr Alimenti is focused on herself and her own interests. From my perspective, the fact that she sometimes shares a personal story is an evidence of her treating me as an equal, responding appropriately and with human interest to something I may have said, and attempting to build a positive doctor-patient relationship but… strictly within the bounds of professional ethics. The fact that she takes the time to share a little of her life with me tells me she is not trying to rush through the consultation, but that she is interested and paying attention. I recall that, at the conclusion of one such discussion, she pointed out that I had coughed a little on several occasions, and she told me to report back to her if this continued. She was by no means wasting time on her own interests, but actually paying attention to me as her patient. Dr Alimenti takes note of what a patient tells her, does not over-prescribe, suggests lifestyle improvements as appropriate (without appearing judgmental), and raises for discussion the possibility of referral to specialists when she thinks it wise (at the same time listening to input from the patient in deciding on these referrals). My mother was a respected nurse/midwife in another country, and I always had access to the best doctors, but I have never had a doctor I appreciate and respect more than Dr Alimenti.

I work in the medical industry and I rarely come across a physican like Dr. Alimenti. She began her visit with a handshake and a hug. She spoke to me intelligently and with compassion. She spent just the right amount of time with me. So happy to have found her!

Sigita has a superficial demeanor and leaves you feeling like you have inconvienced her by being in her office. She does not provide helpful or detailed answers to my questions, and always finds a way to turn the brief conversation to bragging about herself. I have experienced her rushing out of the exam room to get to her next patient while I was still trying to have a discussion with her. If she doesn’t value the topics you bring up, she will not give you the time of day, and does not seek to educate you on your health - more often giving a “you’re fine” response instead of something medically informative. She is rude, presumptuous, lacks bedside manner & has been a complete disappointment

Seems busy and spend less time with the patient. She doesn't explain the condition clearly. Not reachable over the phone, you should go to her office if you have any doubts after visit.

Dr. Alimenti has been my PCP for about a year and a half now. She's the best medical professional experience I've ever had in my life, period. She's caring, compassionate and kind and will spend an impressive amount of time with you - actively listening the entire time. She seems to treat her patients like she's honored they chose her and that's a quality I've never seen in a doctor! Every appointment has been a lovely experience. Another rarity is that her staff and nurses seem to truly enjoy their jobs and they too are a joy to be in the care of.

I would definately recommend Dr. Alimenti. She was very thorough, compassionate, and was genuinely interested in my health and opinions. I did not feel rushed or as if I was wasting her time. Very impressed.
