Dr. Silpa Rao, MD

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Silpa Rao regarding my hypertension care. During the visit, the provider became agitated when I asked questions about my treatment plan. She stated she 'did not appreciate being interrupted' and left the room before the appointment was complete. Following this, the practice sent a dismissal letter instead of addressing my concerns about participating in my own care. I believe patients have a right to clear communication and shared decision-making. I have shared documentation of this encounter with the appropriate state authorities for review.

One of the most difficult things about moving to a new area is finding a new doctor to replace the one you've been seeing for 20 years. I saw Dr. Rao today for the first time and she was wonderful. I actually felt more comfortable with her on the first visit than I ever did with my previous family practitioner. She discussed my physical condition and medications in detail and I never felt that I was being rushed. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. I'm grateful that we found her and don't think I'll ever dread going to the doctor again!
