Dr. Silvana Obici, MD

When I first went to Dr. Obici another doctor I went to told me to stop taking my thyroid med (after taking it for 10yrs) so he can see what my levels would be. I didn't think that was wise, but I did. Near to dead, I went to Dr. Obici and she did a thyroid serum test and discovered not only was that other doctor a quack, but that I had Hashimoto thyroiditis. She put me back on track, but then I was told she went to New York. I she'd come back to Cinci OH

First of all my daughter had to wait at least 2 months to be seen at this clinic. We waited because this doctor was supposedly an excellent doctor. My daughters blood sugar was running high after fasting which was confirmed at the appointment. The doctor seemed caring and were happy about that BUT after my daughter running to the lab the very next day and having to pee in containers for 2 days you would think the doctor would call us with the results like she said she would. Here it is a month later and we have called 2-3 times weekly to get the results and we don’t get a call back! I am furious to say the least. Now I have to find another doctor and have that doctor go over the results from another doctor’s orders and give my daughter treatment if necessary. This is a doctor associated with Stony Brook Medicine with the slogan: The Best Ideas in Medicine. What a joke! I will gladly leave my name: Denise Clavin P.S. Next appointment is at the end of May! To think we are waiting that… long for results is insane, this Doctor should be reported to the Medical Society.

The doctor has a caring manner, is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and is an excellent communicator. She took time to get to know me and my medical history. She carefully developed and went over with me the plan(s) of treatment for my diabetes. She also explained how other symptoms , medications that I have been taking could be contributing to my overall health. I actually was very happy by the time I left the office, because the doctor shared her knowledge in an understanding way. The office staff was very courteous also.

She is a great doctor, she spends time with you . Wish I never had to leave her cause of insurance problems
