Dr. Silvana E. Ribaudo, MD

Probably knows her stuff, but couldn't bother explaining anything to me. I've got a Ph.D. so am capable of understanding difficult concepts and big words, but this doctor couldn't have been more rushed, dismissive, and condescending. Ageism, perhaps? Whatever the reason, I'm finding another doctor, someone who respects all patients.

Dr. Ribaudo is rude to her patients and needs to be retrained.

Dr. Ribaudo is an absolutely amazing doctor. She has treated me through two pregnancies and six years post-birth. She is smart, practical and a fabulous doctor. Although she was not on duty the night of either of my births she was on call when two of my friends delivered and their experience during delivery with her went extremely well. I would recommend her to anyone for OBGYN care.

Worst doc ever!!!

For a first time mom, I wouldn't recommend her as I had a bad experience. I felt that being a first time mom, she could have been more informative. She would always look at her charts and ask the same questions every visit, which made me feel like I was a new patient at every visit. I understand that she probably sees a lot of patients daily, but it was a big turn off. When I asked questions, I felt like it was expected of me to know everything. It made me feel timid in asking questions because she would give me a blank stare as if I was dumb. It was tough reaching her directly which also caused me to have anxiety. She has a very dry personality and seemed to not be as caring or maybe she hid it well. Aside from her, I wish Columbia Presbyterian didn't feel like a OBGYN factory. If you are expecting to have a connection or have some sort of warming relationship, she nor the staff will not give you that. For new mothers, if you are looking for a more personal experience, there are other… options. For her, I was just another patient. Next !

I understand that she is busy, but the visits are very rushed and she did not remember or look at my chart and often asked redundant questions. Also she treated my husband much differently than she treated me, often belittling or minimizing his questions as dumb.

Dr. Ribaudo is an outstanding Physician. She is very thorough in seeing her patients, very knowledgeable when asking questions, her main concern and focus is you, the patient. She gives you the best quality of care that she can give. Her team is as determined and outstanding as she is. She is very punctual and her time management may seem fast at times during a visit however she is as direct as they can be. She addresses what needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Her turn over time can be within 24 hours once you call her office but you can be assured that you will be receiving a call back soon. Her staff is very professional and are a pleasant to speak with. She has been my doctor for both my pregnancies and it's been a wonderful experience. From my appointments to my stay in the hospital to my recovery at home, Dr. Ribaudo and her staff have been by my side ensuring my transition has been smooth. Thank you for everything!!

Dr. Ribaudo is awesome - I went through my first pregnancy with her. She was supportive, understood my concerns, and took as much time as necessary to answer my questions (I had a written list). She was also super supportive after I gave birth when I was incredibly hormonal and panicked at the slightest thing. Visits were punctual, office is nice, went mostly midtown and it's a beautiful space.

Dr. Ribaudo is simply the best GYN I have ever had. She is thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable, great bedside manner, etc. She was my doctor for about 5 years. At one point I needed to get a D & C, I was very scared. She took such good care of me. Much to my dismay, my insurance has changed, and I can no longer see her. Somehow I will get the right insurance and get back to her. If you need a wonderful doctor, this is the one to choose.
