Dr. Silvia C M Cecchini

Silvia C. Cecchini, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Silvia Cecchini was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil and earned her dental degree from the University of São Paulo in 1993. She then practiced as a general dentist in São Paulo until 1995, at which point she did a fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, School of Dentistry in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences.   Upon completing her fellowship in 1996, she returned to São Paulo where she continued in private practice and was appointed Assistant Professor at the Paulista University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Cecchini returned to California in 1998 and spent 2 years at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where she completed both a residency in Endodontics and a masters degree in Endodontics.   In 2001 she was awarded her doctorate degree as a “Doutor em Odontologia” from the University of São Paulo based on the research she completed at Loma Linda University.
In 2001, she took a …position on the faculty at the UCSF School of Dentistry as an Assistant Professor.  In 2002, she joined Berkeley Endodontics.
Dr. Cecchini is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and completed her board certification in 2006. She remained active in the community as a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Northern California Academy of Endodontics and Berkeley Dental Society. She is also a member of the UCSF Endodontic Study Club.
