Dr. Silvia La Rosa

Today i had the most thorough dental exam id my entire 70-plus years and i found Dr Sylvia la Rosa to be warm and gracious, extremely competent and very skilled at explaining what is going on. In addition the staff were all kind and helpful. It was a great visit and i would instantly recommend her.

The only reason I gave Dr. La Rosa 4 stars v. 5 is that I called her office twice after surgery and my calls were not returned. If I could have given her a 4.5 stars, I would have.

I have had 3 of 4 proposed grafts with Dr. LaRosa. On my follow up to my last appointment, I mentioned that I may get Orthodontia at Willamette Dental. She immediately got agitated at the thought of me going to an HMO style of dental health. About six months have passed and on my last check up at my general dentist, I asked about the need for the other gum grafts. He did not see any immediate need and thought I should ask Dr. La Rosa. I called her office a total of 4-5 times speaking with the receptionist twice and the other times leaving detailed messages asking for a call back for concerning my other graphs. I never received a call back. I have since been to one other dentist and while being examined I asked about my need for further periodontal work. He did not see any immediate need and commented he did not see a future need either. He seemed a bit bewildered by my story because her and had high regards for her as a periodontist. I had always planned to return after… braces to Dr. La Rosa's office to complete my gum graphs, but now I really question her integrity and professionalism. I won't be back.
