Dr. Simeon Asher Rubenstein, MD

I went in to see Dr Rubenstein in Down town Bellevue at Kaiser Permanente as a new patient since my insurance changed this year, I have an abnormal muscle biopsy and abnormal PFT's and GI tests (he did not have all my records from these tests yet as it takes time) because of this he said I was lying and that I have munchausens and sent me to psych for testing they couldn't figure out why I was there because they felt this was not necessary since I already see a psychologist for my anxiety whom has said I am mentally sound and that no testing should have ever been suggested from a non psych doctor. (I do not have Munchausens and now have the tests to prove it) I have learning disabilities, a minor temper and mild anxiety but other than that my mental health is completely normal which I kind of figured already! He told me that being adopted will cause anyone psychological problems and that because my parents are old when they adopted me that would mess up any child. That is… disrespectful, and false, I am blessed to have my parents. He labeled me as passive and not willing to converse. Would you be willing to converse after what he just said?! He then told me that if my psych testing came back normal he would treat my heart condition to which is stupid because he told me I didn't have a heart condition and that its all in my head.... Please think twice before seeing Dr Simeon A Rubenstein! Worst experience ever!

I wouldn't recommend this doctor for any reason. He is not my cardiologist, but the office insisted that I come in right away,and he was the only provider with a free appt. He made me feel like I was a complete waste of time. He wouldn't even let me finish telling him what was wrong and why I was there...they insisted on having me come in! What a jerk!
