After two years of constant, excruciating back pain, I had almost lost hope of ever feeling normal again. I had seen multiple pain management doctors and back surgeons, but none of them seemed to truly understand what I was going through or offer a real solution. Some didn’t know what to do, and others simply didn’t seem to care. For example, one doctor wanted to use shots, even though he and I knew that I experience little or no relief from them. Meeting Dr. Simon Chao at University Orthopedics in Easton, Massachusetts was the turning point. From the moment he examined me, I knew I was finally in the hands of someone who genuinely cared and truly understood the spine. He looked at me carefully and was able to pinpoint exactly where my worst pain was coming from. He also identified my scoliosis and explained that treating it could bring real relief. He offered a solution tailored to the causes of my pain and that would give me lasting relief. What stood out the most was how… clearly and patiently he explained everything. For the first time in two years, I felt heard, respected, and confident that someone finally had a plan to help me. Because of Dr. Chao, I now have relief from pain that once felt unbearable. The difference in my life is incredible. I am deeply grateful for his skill, compassion, and dedication to his patients. Dr. Chao was a lifesaver! I had a ski accident and his office was able to get me in ASAP to be seen. Everyone in the office was extremely kind and helpful from the moment I arrived. Dr. Chao was just exceptional. He was on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. After two unsuccessful visits with my PCP which I left feeling frustrated, Dr. Chao finally gave me some clarity around my injury. He was able to look at my knee, identify what he thought was wrong and explain it in terminology which made sense to me. He ordered an urgent MRI which my PCP was also unable to complete, but he had no issue. I am so grateful I went to see Dr. Chao. I look forward to him reviewing my MRI and the next steps.

Dr. Chao is a very good doctor. He takes the time to listen and gives you honest answers in a way that you can understand. The staff is just has important because they are the ones you see before Dr. Chao. Wish there were more Doctors and people in the medical field that would treat you the way they do. I have been with Dr Chao for almost a year. He listens to you, hears you I mean really hears you, if he can help you he will. He is currently helping with c5-c7 acdf he is patient with your questions and really cares. Office manner 10/10 staff 10/10

I have been a patient of Dr Chao‘s for a few years now. He has performed two separate, spinal surgeries on me, one fusing, my L5 and S1, and the other was a cervical fusion.
