Simona Stefan, MD

Dr. Simona Stefan specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, with additional expertise in internal medicine. She earned her medical degree from Universitatea de Medicina si Farmacie and completed residency training at both Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Dr. Stefan further advanced her expertise through fellowship training at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She is fluent in English, Romanian, and Spanish.

Dr. Stefan practices at multiple locations throughout the Bronx, New York, and maintains an affiliation with Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Her clinical focus includes treating patients with vitamin D deficiency and type 2 diabetes mellitus. She also provides specialized care for diabetic eye disease complications. Dr. Stefan performs continuous glucose monitoring to help patients better manage their blood sugar levels and conducts comprehensive blood work including A1c testing and complete blood counts.
