Of course, I recommend you choose wisely and stick with your gut feeling and you can find a new neurologist. That is as nice as I get...

I found Dr to be extremely professional, thorough, warm and compassionate after my first visit. She took the time to go over my MRI in great detail, film by film. I have had about 6 over 20 years and no one has ever let me see them before. Although we are just beginning, I know I am in the right place. Very observant and easy to interact with. Her staff also were very warm, welcoming and professional.

Dr. Velicu was the physician who found the stroke on an MRI, that had been undetectable on CT scan. She had the task of informing my husband in the hospital that he had indeed suffered a stroke, while other doctors seemed skeptical due to atypical symptoms and only using CT scan results. Dr. Velicu was direct, kind, and informative about the type of stroke that had occurred-a pontine stroke- hard to pinpoint. While I would not describe her as overly emotional or “warm and fuzzy” personality wise, during a follow up visit, she came across again as direct and compassionate about what to expect with regard to recovery and self care. She was never rude or dismissive of questions asked, and patiently answered everything we asked of her. She was very knowledgeable within her field of neurology.

Dr. Velicu is awesome! She is so kind and patient. She was able to answer all my questions in a professional Manner. She treated me after major brain surgery and subsequent follow-up appointments. She managed to keep my headaches under control & keep me from having any seizures! She has a wonderful bed-side manner and helped me prior to and following my craniotomy. She treated me as if I was a member of her family.

I completely agree with all the other comments. I am in complete shock that she is even a doctor. I will NEVER visit her again. I really feel like she is on drugs. Next time I will research the doctor a head of time, I wish I did with this one, BIG mistake. She the one who needs help!!!!!

Horrible! She didn't seem knowledgeable about things I was asking. She seemed very disinterested in what I was telling her. She acted like a crackhead.

Horrible doctor!!

she was a very horrible doctor. Dr. Velicu reeked like ciggarete smoke and alcohol. During my appointment she kept running back and forth in the room and made me feel very uncomfortable. She kept changing the subject and didnt answer any imporatent questions i had asked. I was very disappointed that someone would hire such a person to be taking care of patients.
