I was asked to log everything I ate, resting sugar and sugar before bed, and when I felt sick, for 12 weeks and when i got there she did not even read my log but asked me why i checked my sugar so much. She asked me to check it 5 times a day and then thought 2-3 readings was too much. If you told her the truth she would stare you straight in the face and try to convince you that you are wrong. I felt dismissed for a sugar problems I've had for 12 years. No follow up appointment and no referrals. I felt dismissed, discouraged and I still have to find a new doctor and I hope you dont waste your time with her.

I saw Dr Donepudi more than a year ago, seeking treatment for hypothyroidism. She ordered several labs, which I greatly appreciated as they gave me a fuller view of the difficulties. But although I clearly needed thyroid meds, she was reluctant to prescribe them because I had osteoporosis. When I asked about natural thyroid meds instead of Synthroid or its equivalent, she said she didn't prescribe it. (The internet says many doctors won't because the natural meds don't have a steady rate of release, causing your TSH and other hormone levels to fluctuate.) I accepted her conclusion at the time but went off and did research on the Internet using sites maintained by experts in hypothyroidism, including but not limited to doctors and other scientists. I discovered that 1) natural thyroid meds such as Armour and Thyroid NP contain calcitonin which has been shown in research studies to help maintain bone density. I also discovered that patients' levels of thyroid hormones can… be made steadier simply by cutting your dosage in half and taking it at 7 in the morning and 7 in the evening. While I had been frustrated by many of the subtle symptoms of hypothyroidism, such as brittle nails, hair loss, joint pain, and constipation, the things that frustrated me most were the weight gain (in spite of a very healthy diet and lots of exercise) and even more the mental issues: memory loss, brain fog, fatigue, and inability to concentrate, all of which were literally reducing the quality of my life and of those around me. With a prescription for natural thyroid meds (took a while to get the dosage right), my weight is stabilizing, my fatigue is lessening, and my memory loss, which was horrific, is better, as are the brain fog and the inability to concentrate. That means I can do more things to try to alleviate the osteoporosis, like taking calcium with strontium and doing more weight bearing exercises. I'm not sure any doctor who does not have hypothyroidism himself or herself can truly understand the despair that this disease yields as the quality of your life sinks. Please, Dr. Donepudi and other doctors, please take the time and do all the research you need to get the correct answers for your patients. We too deserve a high quality life.

She says she knows everything because she went to school for what she does but refuses to realize everybody is different

Waste of time.

She is rude, had to go to my primary care to get prescriptions she should have called in. Everything is slow labs especially.

Her bedside manners were completely horrific. Would highly recommend taking a 3 hour trip to another doctor before seeing her. I did not get what I needed whatsoever. Have two other people I know as well that also do not like her patients care

I have been a patient of hers for months now and am looking to move to another endo. While I have no doubt she is very knowledgeable in her field, her office visit demeanor is lacking. So much so it is borderline rude. Like others that have posted, she just won't listen to her patients. Almost to the point to where you are getting yelled at for this issue or that. It has happened each and every time I have visited. Had recently wore a monitor for a week to get a baseline on what a week looks like. Mind you that her monitor was not calibrated before the test. In short, my glucose meter was saying one thing and hers another. Even showed my meter numbers right off of it. Well, that started a whole chain of events. Let's not forget the 2-3 month span between appointments. Her staff while friendly, is not as supportive as hoped for. Getting test results or scripts is a joke. The way I see it, I am the paying customer. I deserve to be treated with baseline common courtesy. I ask for nothing… more. This Dr. is either not willing or incapable of doing so.

Gave thorough examination, explanation, answered my questions, planned treatment, knowledgeable. Totally satisfied.

I was a patient of Dr. Donepudi for several years. Very cold personality, but met my needs for meds. However, her staff were very slow to complete tasks, follow up on labs, ect. I found the Doctor became less interested in what I had to say, and gave poor follow up as well. I left the practice due to the above. Would not recommend the practice to others looking for a Endocrinologist.
