Dr. Siva Kumar Chockalingam, MD

My aunt had been going to this man for years. They asked him over a year to check her stomach out. “Oh, it’s gas and bowel” he said. Without doing a thorough exam and guess what it was CANCEROUS lymph nodes. Slack !!!!

I've been here for 2 hours, now. I arrived 15'minutes early for my appoIntment and have yet to even get out of the waiting room. People are angry, asking if there's a problem. I think doctors should be more respectful of their patients' lives and time. If you miss an appointment, this practice charges. I think the patients should charge the doctor for THEIR wasted time.

Knowledgeable doctor, but...He's in it for the money. my mother had a gall stone blocking her bile duct. Dr. Chock put in a stent so she could pass the stone. He "forgot" to sign release papers so we could get her out of the hospital. We had to track him down. Then, her follow up was 2 weeks later. $50 copay every time she sees him. He didn't have the blood work results from the hospital. A visit wasted. We went back 30 days later. Still no blood work. I asked him to do the labs there. We till had to pay the $50 copay, even though this was another wasted visit. He also said there would be many follow up visits because he had to make sure she didn't have hepatitis or any other damage to her liver. (we had already been to her primary care doctor and he had eliminated those possibilities. I told Dr. chock this and he got a little ticked and changed his tune pretty quickly once he knew we were checking up on him. There is more, but too much to type here. The last thing I… will say is he has no respect for your time. We have waited as long as 3 hours past our appointment time at his facility. I would never use this guy again.

I visited Dr. Chockalingam initially for a consultation my appt was 1.45 pm when I did get to speak to him it was 3.50pm and the whole process lasted 5 minutes. I was supposed to have a colonoscopy done and they called me exactly 24 hours before the procedure stating that I had to have a ekg done and I had to find someone to do it.

My son is 18 and Dr Chockalingam diagnosed his Barretts Esophagus approximately 5 years ago. He explains and educates us on any questions we have. He has controled the disease from progressing and preforms an endoscopy regularly. Why do I give him 5 stars? I was sent to an endoscopy clinic before I knew Dr Salva Chockalingam and I aspirated during the procedure. I was sick! I was also sent home several hours later by the clinic. I ended up in the ER with aspirated Pneumonia. Dr Chockalingam is so confident in his work that he has NO problem whatsoever calling an ambulance for someone for over night observation! I have seen it with my own eyes and his staff is so nurturing to my child. That is why I put my son in this man's hands. We have not had any problems with endoscopy procedures and I am confident that my son would be well taken care of if there were complications. The good doc does not sugar coat his pills. He will tell you just how it is and I really appreciate the blunt… honesty. He is fighting diseases, not running a candy store.

Wait time can be as long as 4 hours with an average wait time is 2 hours

The worst part of my experiences was the wait time when he had an emergency to deal with earlier in the day. Instead of staff calling you to let you know he was behind schedule they let you come in and then they explain you might have a two hour wait time. Normal wait time for a normal appointment was 30-45 minutes. He is an excellent Doctor besides that, and knows his stuff!

There is no doubt in my mind that this doctor is good at what he does....none whatsoever! But the practice is not the clock-watcher type, so be prepared to wait. This is of great consideration if you work and are on a tight schedule. All else aside I highly recommend this doctor as a go-to specialist in this field.

Dr. Chockalingam is approachable, confident, decisive, intelligent, interested, compassionate and caring - He seems to be able to absorb people's pain and anxieties without losing focus, treating patients as a human being rather than a symptom or collection of symptoms. I believe his integrity is without question. He took the time to listen and communicate honestly with me..Even after a very long day (procedure was at 5:30 p.m.,) his staff made me feel as though I was their only patient especially Angela, Tim, and Lori. I cannot remember the receptionist name, but she was not only helpful, but wanted to make sure all my questions where answered. Unfortunately, I have had a great number of times and experiences to compare doctors and hospitals. Five surgeries in the course of two years......4 hospitals and 7 doctors. Thank you, Dr. Chock. You are the "Best". and also your staff..

thank God I found Dr. Chockaligam!!! I had seen several Gastro doctors, and none of them did the tests and procedures that Dr. Chockalingam did. He found out what was wrong and I sincerely appreciate all his hard work and extra efforts. In my opinion he is a very good doctor and I trust him....100%!!
