Took me months to get in to see him .than when the scope is done it was not able to complete it.so next visit he says he write some medicine to slow down the issues.gave me seven day infection meds and some powers he said his self they was better meds than them .but yet he call in same powers I was already taking his staff had call in for me.the other med he wrote I told him plane I would not take he writes it anyway.anyway after the infection meds was gone the other meds was doing nothing to stop it.than yesterday when I was seeing him after a long wait to even get in.he decided because my heart Dr was at U.T I should just go town there after I gave waited all most a year to even see a Dr for help .It's not right to treat people in a hurt full way as he has done me .This is from Stephen Burke.

I have gone through cancer with Dr Maran. He is very thorough after. The surgery to remove it he identified my risk factors based on family history and orders annual CT to monitor. I will soon be celebrating 5 years cancer free. If you are looking for a handholder he might not be the Dr for you. If you want a Dr who will be honest direct and to the point (not in a mean way) Dr Maran fits the bill. I would not have wanted to go thru this with anyone else.

Just had an upper and lower gi with Dr Maran. Yes I did have to wait, yes it is typical of specialists, but the hospital staff was friendly and I wasn't the only one waiting. Dr. Maran was friendly and helpful. He answered all of my husband's and my questions. Will post more after post-op appointment. Oh yeah, I have to see several specialist and there always is a long wait.

Health care professionals should be respectful of patients privacy. This practice does not place high importance on such. Laws have been broken here and so has the trust!

My husband was scheduled for a colonoscopy. He was told to be there at 10am and the procedure was supposed to begin at 10:30am. We were advised by a staff member at the hospital that Dr. Maran is notorious for being late. We figured it would be 20min or so late, but no! At 12:00pm, the doctor had still not shown up to the hospital and all of the staff made it clear that this was normal. At that point, my husband had not eaten in 36 hrs and his blood sugar was at 50! Needless to say, we left! The disrespectfulness and arrogance are unbelievable!!! If you can't be on time for these poor people who have prepped for 2 days for this, then your operating rights should be revoked! We do not recommend this poor excuse for a doctor!!!!
