Dr. Slater Benjamin Lowry, MD

Dr. Slater Lowry helped me tremendously from a extremely bad chronic condition. He sat and explained tirelessly to me one busy morning at the Clinic. So the morning of the surgery I wish it could be blamed on me because the professionalism he showed that morning finitely doing everything exactly right so I wouldn’t need extensive plastic surgery afterwards took up I should be blamed for this entirely; but took up making other patients wait. He was just doing a effacious job to put it in my opinion, and others, a remarkable one. I’m truly sorry for me having such a large hematoma removed made others wait and this should be blamed on me. Also treated my leg with skilled incision. The staff made perfectly sure everything was in place and ready for the operation. Everything was extremely sterile , this too probably made another patient wait in which I am extremely sorry for. In conclusion, extremely sorry for anyone having had to wait, but if they themselves would have been in this… man’s position, then one could only deduce, they would be extremely happy with the outcome. Just a small scar. No plastic surgery needed. Dr. Lowry is extremely smart, is why I chose him for this complicated surgery, rea searching his impressive medical background. It was most certainly worth my waiting for. Thank you Dr. Lowry for your expertise in this . I’m truly thankful. A blessed patient.

Ohhh my.....where do I start! If I can give this review 0 stars I would! Dr. Lowry office is absolutely unprofessional, dirty/unsanitary, understaffed, unorganized and the list goes on and on and on. I paid Dr. Lowery office a visit today, waited an hour and a half only for a dusty, dirty, missing teeth, stinky looking nurse come in my room to tell me that I need to go back to the Dr. that has been prescribing me medicines! HUH???? I have to go back to my ob-gyn to figure out why I'm having migraines........make this make sense to me! Dr. Lowry never came in the room....the last time I saw how he look is when he was in his old location on Bluecutt over my Dr. Brooks optometry. That was over 10 years ago! Instead of Dr. Lowry coming in the room he sends the dirty looking nurse with a blank sheet of paper to come into my room to take notes! The blood pressure machine barely worked. The nurse attempted to take my blood pressure 3 times; I'm still not sure if my blood pressure from today… is/was accurate. The front office staff do make sure to get that co-payment from patients before you even attempt to go to the back. Now....to the bathrooms! The bathrooms are so nasty you can literally catch covid-19 by looking and/or walking by it! There's no hand soap or paper towels to wash your hands. The only thing in that dirty bathroom was some Germ-X that was not Germ-X......it was alcohol! Even then I don't think it was alcohol.....it slipped right off my hands when I got a squirt of it! Yuck! I felt nasty! Oh and he seems to care more about that dusty iguana that he keeps in his office than his patients. I knew when I saw his ole crooked wife in the newspaper years ago for fraud I should have avoided this office at all costs. Stay away if you know what's best for you. I recommend older patients that have to visit(Don't go unless you are dying) to take a caregiver with them. They will get over on you! Depending on how I'm feeling I will also leave another review in regards to a past visit of a family member.

...is not aware of all the patients that are herded in & out of his office without any contact with him because he feels no obligation to provide initial nor subsequent care for certain patients. He and his staff have stated that Slater Lowry cannot see every patient that comes to HIS office nor does he follow up on some of the patients. He and his staff are unprofessional and conniving liars that are not to be trusted.

This doctor takes 3-4 hours wait time to see, you NEVER see him(or once in 2 years after monthly visits) and then sees you for five minutes. Stopped me in mid sentence and left the room to “look up another doctor’s name” that I had mentioned even though I said the name as he left the room. Then gave me two prescriptions that made NO sense and then NEVER CAME BACK. I was in tears it was so blatantly rude and abrupt the way he left me. It was CLEAR I had not gotten halfway through explaining my medical history and symptoms.... He just was not having it. Not interested. I honestly do not understand how he is still in his mess and after reading other reviews there is a common ailing: MONEY! He is totally doing this for them money-whatever is quicker that can collect him a fee. Not interested in actually diagnosing or treating. I’ve never had an experience like I did today in my life and if you’re reading this RUN don’t walk-away from that place!!

Horrible Dr. & staff

Unprofessional care from Dr. Lowry. I have been a patient under his care for the last ten years. Recently made a visit to the ER on Saturday because Lowry Medical was not open on Saturday. It was recommended that I follow up with Dr. Lowry. Gave paperwork from ER to nurse upon checking in. Dr. Lowry reviewed the info, wrote a plan and sent to me by nurse, never entered the exam room. In the plan, he strongly scolded me for seeking other medical care. In his words: Too many cooks in the kitchen is not good in medical care.

Amazing Doctor!! I would not want to see anyone else!! I just saw Dr Lowry today for my hypertension and he was his usual WONDERFUL self!!! He is a brilliant man and I just love going to see him.

I scheduled an appt a week ahead of time. The receptionist didn't bother telling me that Dr. Lowry wasn't taking on anymore patients with chronic conditions. She knew that I was coming to see him for my high blood pressure. Yet, after waiting over an hour and walk in patients going in before me, the rude nurse told me he wouldn't see me that I needed to go some where else. My blood pressure was VERY high. I asked her if they could at least get my pressure down and she smugly said, "well, you've had high blood pressure for this long you can go a few more days with it, 188/122, I have worked in a medical office and we would never allow a patient to leave in that condition. So I immediately found another clinic, Lisa Dement, and she was appalled that they let me leave with my pressure being so high. I use to love Dr. Lowry but his staff is rude and incompetent.

Brilliant physician who unlike so many docs still cares and tries to go above and beyond what is expected to help his patient . I see him and he is the only person who will ever diagnose me or my family .

Good doctor but my husband prefers board certified doctors even though he is well trained. I know his training is great but he did not take test to get board certified. It is fine to practice w/o it but rather usual.
