Dr. Sloane Hope Sevran

Complete disgust with this Dr.. ZERO STARS! Please read! We have been seeing Dr. Sevran since my daughter was born a little over 2.5 years ago. Everything was fine because all we ever had were regular scheduled visits. When we actually had an issue and needed her, she was nowhere to be found and her true colors showed. We went to urgent care on the Friday night before Memorial Day and then into Sevran's office on Saturday morning and saw another Dr. We did a urine test and determined there was blood in her urine. The Dr told me that sometimes there's a false positive.They were going to sent it to the lab and then Sevran would call me on Tuesday morning with results. I called Tuesday morning and left a message for her. I called again in the afternoon and she had already left. I spoke with the on-call Dr. and she told me the results were in and that it still showed blood in her urine and to speak with Sevran. I called again on Wednesday (her day off) and asked for… her to call me first thing on Thursday. Thursday night came with no call so I called again. Friday morning I left another message and then sent her an email. No response from 4 messages and an email. Unbelievable! I called the office on Monday morning (10 days later) to change Dr's. I was told they needed Sevran's OK to switch. 2 days passed and she still didn't OK it -- or even bother calling me to apologize or to ask how my daughter was doing. I called again and spoke with the manager and she was able to finally make the change. In my opinion. The Dr. should have called me when she found out we went to urgent care and then to her office and after the lab determined there was blood in the urine. Any caring Dr. would do so. Even my vet calls to check on my dogs at least twice after an issue! BUT, after 4 messages, an email and a request to change Dr's and still no call? This woman has no business being a Dr.....especially one for children! I am shocked that she has any patients at all! Trust me, don't make the same mistake I did by trusting her with my child.

Dr. Severan is the most engaged doctor my family and I have ever worked with. While her technical medical skill is clearly top-shelf, her bedside manner sets her apart. When speaking with my daugher (the patient), my wife and me, she does so as a partner--is never condescending, is never hurried. Recently we went to see Dr. Severan because my daugher injured her leg. Dr. Severan saw us quickly and determined my daughter needed stitches at an ER. Dr. Severan then made several calls to locate an ER and doctor in the area who could see us immeidately, and only then sent us on our way. At the ER, we received prompt expert treatment. Dr. Severan comes with my highest recommendation.
