Dr. Smita Bijlani, MD

Dr. Bijlani and her staff are outstanding in every way! Yes, it takes a while to get an appointment, so I make appointments for the future at each visit I have. (You may wait quite a time if this is your first--but she is worth it) In-between, I use the patient portal for any problems, questions, refills. Either her PA or Dr. Bijlani get back to me quickly--seldom more than a hour or two. My appointments are never rushed and all my questions answered. (I usually go in with a list) Again, she is great!

Dr Ramakrishnan is a wonderful doctor. Unfortunately the office staff (front desk) is difficult and rude at best. Customer service is nonexistent. They completely understand the word “no.” To be clear... I having written quite a few google map reviews on other businesses... all have been five stars. I usually do not write a review unless it is a five star rating. But this will be the exception. The office staff has been so difficult I am considering finding a new doctor. This would be very unfortunate because Dr Ramakrishnan has been great.

When I went for last appointment, Dr. Bijlani agreed that she can prescribe me the the medication for my neuropathic pain and just let her know when my refills are over. And I called her office one month prior and they were asking me to leave messagclinic es, and nothing happened. At last when I insisted on talking to doctor, then they told me doctor is uncomfortable prescribing medication. A doctor have every right to refuse to prescribe, but she have the very duty to inform the patient. At least her office can inform me and didn't bother to do until I insisted. And the clinic manager is the most unprofessional women I've seen who was denying me my care at a point. I was really happy with dr. Bijlani's treatment. But when a patient trust doctor with life, breaking that trust is worst a doctor can do.

I think the world of this practice and the physicians as a whole. Highly recommend-however, the check in is not friendly and doesn't listen. In addition, the one is just too loud. In contrast check out is warm, efficient and always smiling and makes you feel good. Focused. I like the trained medical staff, Ashley and Tammy are highly knowledgeable and thorough also very pleasant. On the other hand, the other one appears not to have knowledge and is all over the place if you ask a question. I have no confidence in her and I have seen them all over the last couple of years. Both doctors give you the time you deserve and are readily available. Doctors are top notch.

Doctors, Ma's and check out are wonderful-check in just plain rude and loud. Always yelling or distracted and then act like you are the problem. Hats off to the good doctors and the rest of the staff. Excellent care. Highly recommend Dr. Bijlani but beware of the two in the front, they need to learn manners and not be loud and rude. Thank you.

Rochester Endocrinology & Diabetes Center is a joke and the staff are absolutely the worst I have encountered at both the Sterling Heights office and Rochester location. They are rude, condescending, lazy and incompetent. They bill insurance companies WRONG and have no desire at all to help you. This facility is not worth your time, I highly advise you to go somewhere else!!!

Love Dr. Bijlani! She is warm, caring and listens my thoughts concerning treatment. She is encouraging and motivates me to take better care of my diabetes! My only complaint is that it is getting increasingly difficult to schedule an appointment--usually 3 months out!

Dr. Bijlani is an excellent doctor. As a matter of fact, I have been to many many doctors and have finally found her to be the best yet. I am quite happy to have found her after many many trials and errors these other so-called, doctors. Her staff on the other hand can use a huge improvement, particularly Karen, the mean witch at the front desk. Karen is extremely rude and dare I say, bipolar/manic. She is an older cranky woman who screams at people for no reason whatsoever and belittles patients when they asks for simple directions. If Karen was out of the picture entirely, then it is definitely worth putting up with to see Dr. Bijlani. Otherwise, just fire Karen completely, she is replaceable.

It was 14 years ago, as a patient at the hospital, when I first met a Doctor BIJLANI. I had been admitted to the hospital because I was in a diabetic coma. She worked with so much skill to regulate my diabetis. Also, diagnosing me with a thyroid condition. She is such a compassionate, kind person, as well.
