Dr. Smita Viraj Patel, MD

Claims she’s a specialist in women’s health but will pass you off to another doc for your pap. She sent me to a cardiologist when she should have sent me to a nephrologist. More? She refused to sign my papers for short term disability after she told me I had to take time off work. She’s inept. She’s a liar.

She won't see you for more than one problem at a time unless you make a separate appointment! When I asked about another small problem that I thought she could address, she stated I was taking up her time and I needed to schedule another appointment! I say in her waiting room about 30 minutes before I saw her. What about MY time? She is no longer at one office where she was close to home! Now she has two, which makes her available only 2 days a week at each office! Time for me to find a better doctor that is closer to home and that will address issues while I am there! Where are all the other sweet nurses that used to be there??? Hmmm?

She is wonderful. She takes the time and puts in the effoart. I rarely have to wait and she makes me feel safe and welcome. She goes through great lengths to ensure she has the right diagnosis and best treatment option. She makes me feel less stressed knowing she cares. The only bad thing is the phones are either off or no one answers. Very different fficult to get ahold of the office.

I am coming around to her way of thinking and I'm getting great results. Change is hard, but have turned the corner.

I was going to Dr. Patel when she had her amazing nurse Paula. Paula was the backbone of the practice. Once she left, the practice and doctor proved to be pitiful! I am very known in the community and have continued to pass on this experience. Would love to know where Paula went. My doctor now knows her great work ethic by word of mouth from many of the doctors she has met and worked with.

Very unhappy with my visit. Will not be seeing her again.

Dr. Patel is compassionate and takes time to learn about her patients. She always leaves me feeling like I've just had a meeting with a friend, and I trust her.
