She had a nurse call and leave a VM to cancel the appointment with 30 minutes notice, stating she “declined to treat me.” I was mystified. When I returned the call, I was told I had been called four times. Do they not realize that phones nowadays record all phone calls? Why lie about it? I asked to speak to the nurse who left the message, but she refused to take my call. I was then told the reason for declining to treat me was that I had asked to be evaluated for pain??? Even if she didn’t want to help, she could have seen me and referred me to the pain management doctors. I do not understand this unprofessional behavior. I moved to the area two months ago, I’m out of prescriptions for everything, and it takes months to get through the Mayo system. If she had seen me, we could have had a productive discussion about how to navigate treatment in this area.

She is very attentive and thoroughly great with her examination. She listens to symptoms and asks more in depth questions pertaining to the systems affected. She doesn't order overly expensive testing. She tells you directly when she needs to refer you to another department for completing testing.
