The appointment itself wasn’t horrible but even though she said my labs were normal and she wouldn’t change anything my pcp was doing, she wanted a follow up in a month. She did order another blood test for a vitamin level and discussed the possibility of supplementing if it was low. It came back the very bottom of normal and no comment on the result. I wrote her the week of the follow up appointment, stating I began supplementing since the level was on the very low side and questioned if we should recheck the level. I added that I thought the follow up was unnecessary since the other levels were normal and she wasn’t going to change anything…. She wrote me back that we don’t need to recheck AND charged me for the message! While I know that Cleveland clinic does state they can charge for messages, I have NEVER been charged by MANY different doctors! And this was a very short, visit follow up question! Blatantly padding her pocketbook.
