Dr. So-Young Kim, MD

Dr.Kim is always so thorough, clear, efficient and informative about every condition, procedure and medication. She has improved my life in ways I didn't even realize needed improvement. She regularly checks my bloodwork and recommends changes in diet to improve weak areas. I am very grateful for her wonderful care.

Dr. So-Young Kim is an absolute professional. She is detailed and oriented to a step by step process of endocrinology. She appears very capable yet impersonal. Her expertise as an endocrinologist is what you get. Anything more is yet to be seen. I only had an initial visit via Telehealth. I expect to experience and establish a greater doctor-patient relationship with Dr. Kim when we have an in office visit as well more visits overtime..

I give Dr. Kim a high recommendation! She is thorough, and knows her stuff! She was patient and answered all my questions and took my concerns very seriously. She is in high demand so it isn’t always easy to get the first appointment with her - but she is worth the wait.

I regret to say that I've noticed a change more recently in my interactions with Dr. Kim. Perhaps it has something to do with the increasing frequency that we have spoken via Zoom, which of course is more impersonal than meeting in person. Yet I can't help but notice that she has seemed more rushed, detached, and impersonal. Perhaps it reflects the fatigue that we have all felt since the pandemic, including some of our physicians. The most unfortunate consequence, however, is that I feel that, even though my numbers are holding steady or improving, I'm somehow taking a step back -- and that my doctor isn't as hopeful as I am in my ability to control or even beat back my diabetes. Rather than feel emboldened or encouraged, I left our last meeting feeling defeated.

I have been seeing Dr. Kim since 2016 and consider her a very smart and dedicated Dr, however, the relatability factor is absent. Dr. Kim conveys medical information in a very crisp and clinical manner but does not seem to be interested in the patients overall well-being. It appears that Dr. Kim is in a hurry and has no time for the patient. The last video visit made me feel awkward and that is not how I want to feel after consulting a Dr.

Dr. So Young Kim is a non-nonsense Endrocronoligist who is as thorough and conscientious as you’ll find anywhere. My experiences have been nothing if not positive… actually outstanding.
