Dr. Sobia Rizvi, MD

Impatient doctors, impatient staff, probably a medical practice meant to funnel money cause no one likes this place based on the reviews everywhere.

Although I didn't go through my diagnosis process with Dr. Rizvi, I do believe that she would be attentive to any new patient without any prior experience/ diagnosis. Monthly appointments were quick check-ins regarding medication which was fine by me because I wasn't expecting Dr. Rizvi to be my therapist. That said, I consistently left appointments feeling horrible due to the younger blonde receptionist's downright unprofessionalism. This receptionist yelled at me on more than one occasion about my prescriptions not going through to my pharmacy, and once told me to "watch until this is over" as she yelled at my pharmacist. They had called to let the doctor's office know that one of my prescriptions had not gone through. After this, I made weekly calls to my insurance to ensure my coverage, then called both my pharmacy and doctor's office to let them know of any changes before my appointments. The receptionist never even hinted that it might be an insurance issue and rather… yelled useless phrases such as "do you know how annoying this is??" and "figure it out!!" as if I was personally blocking my access to my OWN prescription meds. If she had encouraged me to contact my insurance about potential coverage changes like any other receptionist, I would've been grateful for her encouragement and have done this whole absurd triangulation of information without feeling horrible. To the receptionist: Not being able to pick up my prescribed medication affects me (and all patients) exponentially more than it affects you. Perhaps you should have read up on mental health and psychiatric services before being a receptionist for one, but now that you're there, pretend to care and not worsen patient mental health by being unnecessarily nasty. It's a shame because the other two receptionists are so pleasant.

On my first appointment, Dr. SOBIA was extremely rude and abusive and after asking personal questions about my job even though I had valid insurance which he accepted, he shouted at me saying, "im not accepting you, please leave". I began to cry and as I was leaving he came out to the receptionist and said, "tear up her file". In all my years of going to doctors I've never felt so abused, humiliated and treated so poorly.

I work in the field and am not either psychotic or delusional.Dr. Rizvi's greatest failing is that she will not be there for you when you need her most.To my way of thinking, this is both unacceptable and unconscionable, given her field of training.
