Dr. Sofia V Kondrashin, MD

I went to this doctor several years ago. I've always wanted to write a review as I feel I was poorly diagnosed. She spoke to me for approx 1 hour on our first meeting and mis diagnosed me as borderline personality disorder. She then had me go to an outpatient clinic where i wasted 10,000 and stopped treatment realizing i do not have this disorder. I went back to her, and she said that she thinks i don't have borderline, i have narcissim. Look- i think everyone has different aspects of different disorders in some form. Today- I am very successful, discussing wedding with my long term boyfriend, and I don't see this dr. If I had continued therapy with Dr. Kondrashin, I don't feel I'd be in this place of happiness and success.

Dr. Kondrashin is truely the best psychiatrist I have ever met. She takes the time to get to know her patients, take a full history and make a well rounded assessment and not just on the initial interview. It has been my experience in the past that many doctors will spend a little more time with a patient on the initial interview and then follow-up visits last all of 10 or 15 minutes. Not with Dr. Kondrashin. She is just as patient and kind during follow-up visits. She is respectful of her patients strengths and this is reflected in how she works with them to decide on treatment. You can feel comfortable bringing your child to her and know that she will patiently learn about you and your child and will not automatically recommend medication. She is excellent with both adults and children.

Dr. Kondrashin is the best psychiatrist I've ever dealt with. She is kind, patient and she is not a pill pusher. She is excellent with children. I highly recommend her.

Fantastic doctor. Knows her stuff. Very intuned to children. Fantastic bedside manner. The best. Doesn't overmedicate.
