I had surgery this past Tuesday on my nose. Basically I wasn’t breathing out one side of my nostrils and my sinus canal collapsed.?? After the surgery was completed the doctor never called my family to provide them with any updates nor did he come to speak with me after my procedure. In addition, the nurse handed me the phone and had me call my family to give them an update. Did I mention that I literally just came out of anesthesia?!? I tried to let that go but then I had an issue arise on Friday. My right nostril continues to bleed since the procedure. Based on the discharge instructions, I was instructed to call the doctor if this happened??. I called the doctor on Friday and he instructed me to go to the ER. I went to the ER. Miserable experience. left the ER and started bleeding 39 minutes later. This time it was worse than before I went to the ER. I called the on-call doctor again and he instructed me to return to the ER once more. This time I did not go because I did not feel… comfortable based on my previous experience earlier that day?. Here i sit today, I’m still bleeding. I called the on-call number again and was told to either go to the ER or wait until the morning to call the office. I am a little upset that when I went to the ER the first time that the physician who did my surgery did not stop by to evaluate me.? I was told that he was at the hospital rounding and that when I went to the ER he would stop by to see me. I realize that this man has a life and I am not his only patient. However, sending me to an ER that has no clue what they are doing does not benefit me.? This whole process has been very disappointing. The post op care was horrible, the discharge instructions were nonexistent, and my current bleeding issue has not been addressed appropriately. This does not make me feel better about making the decision to have the surgery completed. It is even more disappointing that the surgeon was highly recommended but has greatly let me down. I am a nurse and I realize that the medical field is overworked at this time. That is no excuse to be negligent in the care provided to patients?. I feel like the doctor could have called me directly and spoke to me instead of having me speak to an answering service. I definitely think that he should have updated my family on how my procedure went. I absolutely believe that the nurses that cared for me afterwards should have provided me with better discharge instructions?. Ughhhhhhhh …. Rant over

I was dealing for shortness of breath for years , after seeing him he fund the problem, i am doing good now ,good doctor.

Wonderful Dr. Caring, proactive and concerned. He moved extremely quickly with seeing my husband diagnosing the problem and setting up for a biopsy. All done within 24 hours

Our son had been treated for recurrent ear infections for 25 years. After failed attempts at controlling the infections, Dr. Shahab gave us a new remedy to try, antibiotic and steroid free. After years of dealing with repeated infections, I can say he has gone down to *maybe* one per year, if that, for the past 3 years. A+ in our book.

My daughter went to this office 16months ago. WE had a very good experience he took my daughter's tonsils out. I thought they were very friendly and all. They explained everything when she had surgery and helped us every step of the way.

My son was referred here from his pediatrician. It took 2 weeks to get the itital appointment. The weather was very bad on the morning of his appointment. I called to see about arriving a few min late. There was nothing they could do to accomodate us. School was cancelled because the roads were so bad and the appointment was at 8:15am. The earliest opening they had was 4 weeks away. I accepted. Today 2/5/14 was his resheduled appt. Today it was the same senario except the office did not open until 10:00am and his appt was at 8. They did not call to cancel or reshedule. When I finally reached someone. They wanted to schedule him another 4 weeks away!!! I have never delt with such a horrible practice in my life and I never even walked in the door. I immediately called a local ent to see about an appointment , explained the reasoning. And they got us in that very day. No problem.

I was taken back just a few minutes pass my appointment time, which was great! He is very personable and so was his staff that I was with. My appointment was today so I can't say about the Follow up after the Visit.

Overall a very professional visit but long wait and some office personnel not so professional as some physicians offices.
