Solange Raejhon-Doldron Burton

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to fix boo-boos and take care of those around me. That instinct was coupled with seeing how her nursing career changed my mother's life and provided opportunity for my family and all of it led me to the medical field. When it came time for me to choose a specific career path, I leaned into women's health; I found that I was drawn to not only the care that women receive, but the care that they deserve. \n Through my work, I have become even more passionate about women's health, especially maternal healthcare; medical access and equity amongst minorities; quality care for those wanting to start families. I'm very passionate about taking care of moms and caring for postpartum depression and mental health. I am honored to play a significant role in women's lives and build trusting relationships with them. I want them to know they are not going through life's stages alone. I get to know each of my patients so I can provide the best care not …just for their health condition but also for their lifestyle. \n My husband and our daughter keep me busy outside of work and brighten each of my days. I am proud of my Trinidadian roots and culture, and look for chances to share that with friends. When I have free time, I love traveling, reading or eating great food.
