Dr. Sonia Alvarez, MD

Dr Sonia is very patient, compassionate, and pays strict attention to detail. Patient satisfaction is a primary goal of hers. I thoroughly appreciate her bedside manner and her knowledge and competence regarding my plastic surgery before, during, and in the recovery process. I was comfortable and trusted her throughout every phase of my process. She is a star and I am thankful for her.

The initials of her name could/should reflect Simply Amazing. From the second she enters the room to address your flaw, it's with both grace and mercy. Friends & Family saw me as well & looking great with layers of clothing on. Underneath would be several girdles to try & hide my badly distorted body from 164lbs of weight loss. The skin had no place to go. I was a physical & mental mess. The mental damage this Doctor had more concern for & stated I would be some of her best work. The mental restoration is as beautiful as my surgery. God used her hands to restore my life. GLORY Shondra

Arrived at the scheduled appointment 20-minutes prior to the time scheduled. Then, waited for 1.5-hours before Dr Alvarez came to see patient. By that time, I was at front desk asking for re-imbursent. Dr Alvarez comes out and states, “I can see you real quick.” My experience in all levels of pression, and especially for a major medical procedure, assessments and further evaluations are not performed quickly! As a patient, I would have a series of queries and expect a thorough exam/evaluation. Terrible experience!

I had my consultation this past Monday with Dr Alvarez, followed by surgery on Wednesday. During both, I was VERY impressed with her, as a skilled surgeon and as a compassionate friend. If I ever need more surgery, she will be the only DR I will use.
