I scheduled my new patient appointment one entire month in advance with this provider at University Physician's Group, and three weeks after scheduling, I got a call from the receptionist stating that this doctor was leaving the practice and I could 1) see her until she leaves, or 2) schedule an appointment with someone else. When I called back to exercise either of the two options provided, both were denied to me, because now that it's three weeks into the new year, no doctor in the entire practice will accept new patients with Ambetter Health Plans. I made this appointment when they were still accepting my health plan, so you would think something could be done to shift my pre-existing slot. Nope. The clinic refused the appointment, despite the message telling me I had options, and when I asked someone to make it right, the practice further refused to do so. I have never experienced such a low level of professionalism and lack of courtesy in any other service-based business before,… and I certainly do not recommend exposing yourself to this level of negligence and lack of care.
