Dr. Sonia Elisabetta Francioni-Vulaj

Dr. Francioni has no "bedside manner" as my dental assistant warned me when I visited my dentist before the extraction. So, I was prepared. But not for little to no communication about the goals, progress, or followup. When the extraction was done, she simply walked out of the room. "Am I done?" I asked an assistant walking by after a few minutes. "Yes, you can leave" the assistant said. Worse, I needed a follow-up visit because my dentist noticed a bone sticking out of the extraction site. Dr. Francioni took no responsibility for it and blamed it on my "wandering tongue". Seriously? I debated long about whether to leave this review, because she did give me lots of novocaine for the pain, but felt it was important to warn others.

She asked me to leave a good review, and I am not. I went in for a standard wisdom tooth extraction, and I got a minimal (under 3 minute) assessment and consultation, was told to look in the pamphlets when I had a question (and the information was not in the pamphlets pre and post op), a cold demeanor every visit, and she gave me no supplies I needed post op. She gave me her number in case something came up, and when I had a dry socket I called her number, she asked me to call her back on another day so that we could schedule an appointment. After fixing the dry socket and again not getting much information I needed, I called the department to ask my questions. They answered them throroughly, but contacted her to let her know that I asked questions. I then received a call berating me, telling me that her and the other staff members were laughing at me, telling me I was the worst patient she’s ever had, and that I should never call her again. And happily, I never will.
