Dr. Sonia Ralli Grewal, MD

I had to cancel 2 recent appointments due to financial hardship. I then received a letter in the mail from her office stating she is dropping me as a patient. The letter said that I CHOSE to not see her and she included a release of medical record form to give to a new endocrinologist. I called the office the next day and the secretary said that I signed paperwork (3 years ago) stating they could do that if I miss appts. OK, but could they tell me this or CALL ME and let me know? of course not. So, I did get a new doctor, but she could not see me for 2 months. Thats ok. I was pretty current on checkups but then my diabetes medication came due for a monthly refill. The pharmacy called me and said it was denied. OK. So, I called Dr. Sonia Grewald's office and explained the situation and could they call in my refill. After being on hold 7 minutes, the receptionist returned and told me that since I am not longer Dr. Sonia Grewalds patient, I need to have my primary call it in!! REALLY!!?… The doctor is going to put my health in danger by not calling in my diabetes medication one last time??? That's insane. If this is not medically wrong, it certainly is morally wrong. I did end up calling my primary doctor and they staff told me they have NEVER HEARD OF THIS!!! She took all my information and said she would send out the memo to get this taken care of. This morning I made a report with blue shield of California about Dr. Sonia Grewald and how unprofessional and how dangerous to put a client's health at risk due to a financial hardship. As I am typing, I just received notification from the pharmacy that my diabetes medication is ready for pick up. My primary doctor's office came through for me. Dr. Sonia Grewald, you are unprofessional and have no empathy for your patients. In any business, word of mouth is EVERYTHING and I am a talker. And If you are just in it for the money, (like other reviews say here) you will NEVER GET ANOTHER DIME FROM ME!

Dr Sonia Grewal is all about the money and doesn’t care for her patients at all! I was so disappointed by her lack of care. She was a waste of my time and money. She also has far too many patients to be an effective physician. She requires too many office visits so she can bill your insurance company and will only spend 10 minutes each visit. It takes 3 months to get an appointment to see her and she doesn’t address patients concerns. Her office staff is horrible and unprofessional. The staff was non-responsive when I called and when I waited in her waiting room her staff was gossiping about her and her patients. I had to miss an appointment due to COVID and I was still charged for the appointment and judged by Dr Grewal. I guess she wanted me to show up for my appointment and infect her other patients with Covid. She doesn’t care about her patients, only concerned about the money she will get. Several times she didn’t even respond to my questions or respond to my CGM company so I… couldn’t get my supplies. Of you want proper care DO NOT GO TO DR. GREWAL.

Best Dr. and staff EVER ! I was referred to Dr. Grewal by my primary doctor and I'm so lucky and could not be happier. All of Dr. Grewal team members are so kind and understanding. They made me feel very special from the very first call to when I arrived they took time to listen to me. Dr. Grewal was so professional and knowledgeable. She spent so much time listening and to everything I needed to say. Amazing ! Thank you all for being so kind.

One of the rudest endocrinologist I have ever worked with. Her bedside manner was terrible and the wait was ridiculous. Appointments are made weeks in advance, and when I get there, you wait over an hour. But if you missed an appointment, they do not hesitate to charge you the fee. If you missed one too many appointments, she will threaten to no longer treat you. It's ridiculous overall. I could not be happier with my new endocrinologist. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone else.

I have a severe diabetes problem and was just in the hospital. My GP sent a referral to Dr. Gerwal. i called and the next available appt. is in November. Really??? What happened to flexibility for emergencies??? Unbelievable, and no apologies or warmth either. Forget it.

If out of scope of practice, she is unable to admit and refer out and exposes patient to life threatening and life altering damage.

very poor personality,doesn't have bedside manners,rude ,does't like to deal with seniors.Hate to be in her aura .she is just there to make money.No knowledge

Dr Grewal has turned my diabetes in the right direction. Her practice is up to date and uses the access to my previous blood work etc., to make me comfortable with how I need to proceed.

Dr. Sonia Grewal has surpassed all my expectations. I especially appreciate her explanations of my reports and progress. And her staff is very friendly, efficient, and encouraging when I make positive strides in my health issue. A definite "thumbs up" from me!

I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Grewal. She is so thorough, treats you like an actual person, and appears very knowledgable.
