Dr. Sonia Alejandra Sibaja, MD

I took my daughter as an infant to Dr. Sibaja. I realized I needed to switch after a few things happened that did not sit well with me. As a first time mother I counted on her to properly guide me in caring for my child's health. She recommended I give my daughter soy formula after my daughter would get red when drinking her milk-based formula. This did not merit for my daughter to be put on soy formula, I later found out but when it was too late. She assured me it was safe and now come to find out soy should be the last resort in feeding an infant. My daughter has ADHD and I can't help but think this was due to the soy formula. My other children who were on milk-based formula do not show this kind of behavior. There is no guarantee soy is safe but she did not explain this to me and guaranteed it was. I can't blame the soy-formula as the cause of the ADHD but what upsets me is her guarantee that it was safe. She gave my daughter antibiotics that had penicillin. My daughter… developed rashes all over her body for 10 days because she assured me it wasn't an allergy although it was! She said, "It would not be good for her have an allergy to penicillin", so she told me to keep giving it to her until it ran out. I unfortunately did because again, I trusted her. The last straw, and thank God it happened was when we took my sick daughter with a fever to see her. We waited 3 hours, 3 hours!! for the doctor until the lady at the front desk told us my daughter couldn't be seen because my daughters insurance was not active. This was completely unacceptable. This last straw was a God-sent because this prompted us to find wonderful group who unfortunately confirmed all my concerns with this doctor was correct.

They are careless and do not have the best interest for their patients. Best to go elsewhere than to be half treated.

Worst check up ever. Completed it in 5 minutes and charged me $170. Complained of how many patients she had and about the insurance companys not paying her.

First of all, it took over 30 minutes and speaking to 3 different people to schedule the appointment. Once I made the appointment, I was reassured that the location was by a high school I am familiar with. On the day of my appointment, instead of seeing a doctors office, I see a private per-school. Thinking I may have the wrong address, I try to call the office. One hour and over 100 (not exaggerating) phone calls later, I get a response!...to be on hold for an additional 20 minutes until someone else called the office for me on a separate phone and was helped in less than 3 minutes! This doctors office is disorganized, inefficient, and unprofessional. ***Also, your information will not be safe with this doctor. I received 5 phone calls in less than hour to confirm my appointment and as a reminder. While listening to the 5 voicemails there was one for a different patient!!! This goes to show you how unprofessional this office is.
