Dr. Sonita Khan, MD

I was seeing Dr Khan for over 3 years and she was good, but the last visit recently she seemed to be a little rude in her tone of voice and I felt I was being ambushed for not going to specialist frequently due to a FMLA, I felt she was insensitive to my financial hardships, and my ongoing medical appointment needs as I explained to her that my job is very strict and I have to be begging for days of to see any doctor during work week Mon thru Fri as most doctors or specialist or image centers are not open on weekend, I felt I was being ambushed and judged by her that day not sure if she had a bad day but that is wrong how she spoke to me, she simply could of said she does not agree with my Fmla leave request, but I felt like I was being ambushed and treated a bit harsh and she was not sensitive to the fact I take care of my elderly mother and also myself and its financially hard after many urgent or ER visits bills I have to go more frequently to specialist as I just wanted the freedom… to have open appointments available and need this FMLA since my current company I work for is extremely strict and I have to be waiting long time or begging for days off plus their bathroom break forbids us to go no more than twice a day, which is a bit unreasonable, this is why I was in need of Ada n FMLA form request, I decided this year I will switch to another doctor who cares about my needs and Is sensitive to my financial and work environment situation, I am sad and disappointed as she was good these past 3 plus years but seems that day she was very harsh on the way she spoke to me

She was one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. She took care of my mom in the hospital and involved me in the plan every step of the way. I felt safe with her taking care of my mom.
