This is by far the best practice. If you are looking for a provider who actually cares about your health concerns, then you need to call Wilmington Proactive Medicine and make a appointment. I have been coming here for my hormone issues and am feeling so much better. The providers here are very caring, they will not rush through your appointment, but actually take the time to listen to all of your concerns. They do extensive blood work as well as other test that many providers have no clue about. They focus on hormone, Thyroid and GI issues, My calls have always been returned and addressed, I never have to worry and wait on my lab results, and have always gotten a explanation that I can understand. By far Dr. Shanley and Katherine Mann are the Best of the Best. This Practice is Excellent and deserves more than 5 stars!!!

I've been seeing Dr. Shanley for about 3 years now, and she's nice and respectful, and I appreciate her more integrated and holistic approach to medicine. I wouldn't say I've learned a lot from her, as her focus seems to be on hormones more than anything else. What is very frustrating is that there is almost always a very long lag time between getting blood work done and the follow-up appointment. I'm currently scheduled for a follow-up 2 months after getting blood work done, and there's something in my CBC that needs further investigation. This time, the reason is that 1 staff is on medical leave, however, I've waited up to month on previous occasions, and also had appointments cancelled without apology to be rebooked weeks later. One issue is they will not schedule the follow-up for blood work until after Dr Shanley has reviewed the results, and sometimes her review will take up to 2 weeks, and then she's already booked up for maybe a month after that. One time I checked in at… the office for an appointment, was sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes, and the woman who checked me in said "is (my name) ever going to show up?" Without better organization and respect for patient's time and health, I'm looking for another doctor. It's really a shame.

Dr. Shanley is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen. I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me, educating me, answering my questions, and listening to my concerns. She is worth every dime spent and more. The care she provides goes above and beyond. She is very relatable and easy to talk to about anything. She takes the time to figure out underlying issues and doesn’t just mask the problem with medication. When I was first referred to her 6 years ago I had just begun taking Zoloft due to feeling depressed. She ran my labs found I had thyroid problems and other hormone issues, so she took me off the Zoloft. I feel so much better ever since I began seeing her. Cindy, her nurse, is amazing. She always takes my calls and answers questions I may have and they don’t require you to come in the office just to tell you the results of your labs. Nicole, at the front desk, couldn’t be anymore helpful, patient, and kind. They are a great team all the way around and I would… recommend her to anyone.

Very suspicious of parents. I would not take my child to her again. Extremely condescending and acts like parents don't know anything about raising children. Totally ignored the medical reason for our visit.
