Dr Soo Kwon

My experience with Dr. Kwon was remarkable. Most impressive was the fact that she spent considerable time with me and listened to my complaints, that other physicians just brushed aside. When I decided on surgery for my problem she explained the procedure and the preparation to me and was available after the surgery to answer all my questions and allay my concerns. She really is a very special person, and an exceptional physician.

Excellent bedside manner, extremely compassionate , kind and gentle. Dr Kwon made an uncomfortable exam & procedure bearable. She was made for what she does!

Dr. Kwon performed surgery on my Prolapsed Bladder. She was compassionate and informative. She patiently answered all my questions and I never felt rushed during my appointments. Her staff was friendly and very professional. My surgery went very well and I am very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kwon.

Dr. Kwon is knowledged in her craft. However, she spoke down to me, didn't explain my condition to me well enough, and left me confused. Also, she made me feel badly that I asked questions about my condition. She knows her stuff well enough, just not the best at communicating this with her patients.

Very unexperience very rude no patient friendly very dirty touches patient with gloves that she touch door and other equipment with do not have surgery with her she does not care for patients like she told me you cant have everything in life wouldnt even let me talk constantly telling me to shutup very bad service

Dr. Kwon changed my life. As a young mother of two, my bladder was damaged from childbirth. I will never forget the joy I felt the first time I was able to go for a run without wetting myself. Thank you for giving me my life back!

Dr Kwan was literally the best doctor I have ever seen. She was very knowledgeable and could explain procedures to me in a very understandable way without "talking down" to me. She is also just very genuine and basically a nice person. I developed an UTI after surgery and had to call her answering service on the weekend. She called me back within 10 minutes and prescribed an antibiotic and something to make me more comfortable.

Dr. Kwon is the most tender and caring meidcal professional I have ever met. I am 40 yrs young and had urinary incontinence due to prolapse. Dr. Kwon made it comfortable for me to talk about my embarrassing issues. After discussing all of my options I decided on surgery, bladder sling, complete hysterectomy (not radical)interior and posterior vaginal repair. Dr. Kwon made sure I knew the answers to the questions (I should have asked but did not.) After surgery she caressed my forhead reasuring me everything was going to be ok. Six weeks later I am a new woman, the operaton was a sucess! I cant wait to thank her in person at my 6 week post op check up <3

4 years ago I met Dr. Kwon, having taken matters of my health into my own hands to find a urogynecologist to help me with myriad issues. For ten years before this, I was practically housebound from urinary incontinence, caused by bladder and vaginal prolapse and recticele - all stemming from my one labor an delivery 22 years before. As time passed and my condition worsened, my life became more limited and I struggled with depression; coupled with the beginnings of menopause, I was not doing much quality living. My usual gynecologists tended to pat me on the head, tell me this happens with age, and send me home with no answers oe worse, a prescription for some type of anti-anxiety or mood altering medication. I finally got sick of it enough to look for a doctor who could address my needs, not just get me out of his office with a prescription. One visit with Dr. Kwon and I was on my way to recovery. She LISTENED, she took immediate proactive steps: testing for urinary control, a very… thorough pelvic exam, etc. The results of the urinary tests showed I was about as bad as it gets in that arena, and the pain and years of discomfort from vaginal prolapse were also, in her opinion, not acceptable for me to have to "just live with". I was scheduled for DaVinci surgery with Dr. Kwon; she performed reconstuctive surgery for my bladder, repaired the recticele, did a complete hysterectomy and oophrectomy (this was a HUGE relief as ovarian cancer runs in my family), and repaired the vaginal prolapse. She also started me on Vivelle patch to ease menopausal symptoms. Within a few weeks after surgery I felt better than I had in a decade. Now, four years later, I continue to enjoy excellent bladder control, pain-free intercourse, I take NO mediactions other than my Vivelle patch, and I am FREE to enjoy any and all levels of robust physical activity that my health had denied me at such a comparatively young age (I was only in my 30's when these issues began to interfere with my lifestyle). In essence I have my life back! I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful person; Dr. Kwon is compassionate without being condescending, proactive and up to date on the latest and best treatments and procedures, considerate of the individual, and motivated to solve the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. He staff is also very considerate and pleasant, and her schedule is never grossly overbooked - I never waited more than 5 to 10 minutes for any appointment. Any woman who has problems with pelvic dysfunction and/or incontinence should see Dr. Kwon NOW. Don't waste ten years going from gynie to gynie like I did, taking zoloft to try and forget that you can't walk more than a block or two, sneeze, cough, laugh, ride a bicycle, travel, or do much of anything else without wetting yourself. Regular OB/GYN's are not necessarily trained or interested in these issues - go to an expert who IS!
