Summary
Dr. Soo Kwon grew up in Seoul, South Korea before moving to Michigan as an exchange student at the age of sixteen. She later moved to Wenham, MA, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Gordon College. Dr. Kwon went on to graduate from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and completed her General Practice Residency (GPR) training at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA. During her residency, she gained extensive experience working with medically complex patients, strengthening her ability to provide compassionate and skilled care.
Dr. Kwon was inspired to pursue dentistry because of her mother, who had significant dental needs. Seeing firsthand the impact of dental care on quality of life, she dedicated her career to helping patients with similar experiences. She also has a deep passion for treating patients with disabilities, recognizing the challenges they face in accessing quality dental care.She strongly believes in …lifelong learning and continues to expand her clinical knowledge through advanced continuing education courses and seminars. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Los Angeles Dental Society, Spear Education, and PIA Study Club.Dr. Kwon is known for her unique ability to calm nervous patients and for educating them on their oral health, ensuring they feel confident in their treatment plans.She is happily married and the proud mother of a daughter and son.
