Dr. Soon Ho Kwon, MD

I was losing weight, cold and tired all the time. Dr. Kwon told me that since I didn’t have EVERY symptom of Hyperthyroidism that I didn’t have it. Everybody knows you don’t have to have every symptom of something in order to have it. If you’re only coughing but aren’t sneezing does that mean you don’t have a cold? I found a different endocrinologist who treated my hyperthyroidism and now I’m not cold and tired anymore.

Dr. Kwon did a virtual appointment and explained every question I had very clearly, in terms that any lay person could understand. I found our interaction to be engaging and felt we were on the same page. I like that my questions were answered in detail and am very pleased with our initial appointment.

He spoke to me like I was an idiot. I can survive this but what about the patients that don't have the resources (to take day off to travel to visit this jerk) or the mental stability (to withstand his "talking slow so you get it" attitude...yes he did this) or the determination to find the cause of your stymptoms (he didn't even touch me/my neck before saying, "let's just cancel this appointment"). I could go on but I have to go find another specialist that is interested in helping me.

Dr. Kwon checks for specific things geared towards the labs... Blood tests show a lot more than people think. The appointments are far out but he's eager to adjust the dosages and offer options.... I discuss things with him as he stick to what he specialize in... Some. Have told me to run, because he love removing thyroids, well seems he is about curing the problem not just symptoms. I just want to be back to normal..

Knew exactly what was going on and prescribed the correct treatment. Off all meds and feeling great for 6 months.

Just read your own test results. He does not care or have any interest in anything else and does not care about any symptoms

Don't waist your time being seen with this Dr. He was very blunt and had aweful bedside manner! I walked out in tears because I was told to go to a gym for some weight I've gained from being hypothyroid. Staff was very nice but this by far was the worst experience in my life. I'll never drive 45 minutes for someone to tell me to work out.
