While getting an appointment for this endocrinologist required a little bit of a wait...Dr Hazel Hox provided excellent care. I may not have liked the position that I have allowed myself to get in ( poor diet and not exercising regularly) she was very supportive. She gave me hope that I can make the changes I need to get better. My A1c dropped in the last few months thanks to steps suggested by this doctor and a new insulin routine. I just wish the VA would hire more endocrinologists. She isn't always available at my clinic as she has to travel to other islands and Guam to see patients.

What a great asset Dr. Hazel Hox is to this clinic in Hawaii. I truly am happy to have her as my specialist.

She runs on time which is not normal for a specialist. Her beside manner and knowledge of my particular disease process allows me to give my full recommendation of DR. Hazel. We are blessed to have such a competent Endocrinologist serving our veterans here in the pacific islands.
