Dr. Sophia Rahman, MD

Dr. Rahman grew up in Los Angeles. She was accepted into the accelerated Bachelors of Science/Medical Degree program at the University of California, Riverside. She received a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her Medical Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Rahman completed an Internal Medicine residency followed by a Radiation Oncology residency at the Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles Medical Center.

Dr. Rahman joined Diablo Valley Oncology/Hematology Medical Group in 2012. She has a special interest in Breast Cancer and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. She practices at Diablo Valley Oncology's state-of-the-art radiation oncology center which is located at the California Cancer and Research Institute in Pleasant Hill and specializes in comprehensive, cutting edge treatment of all forms of cancer and blood disorders. Dr. Rahman has presented …at major conferences - ASTRO and ARS. She promotes education in the community by speaking to groups on cancer related topics and is an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Support Community.
